this certainly shows that billick isnt right for head coach......i like him and everything but he's not able to keep this team together in the final minutes of the game and thats why we've lost so many games this season

It's funny how quickly people are to judge Billick for not going for it on 4th and 1...

The smart call, given the little time left and the score, is to simply tie the game and take the chances in OT.

And had Matt Stover made that final field goal, NO ONE would be complaining, now would they? The offense DROVE DOWN THE FIELD better on that drive than they had the whole game.

So stop complaining, the game is over, we lost, let's move on.

We knew this season's been snakebitten from the very start, with all the bizarre turnovers and all the injuries.

Almost everyone's already started looking forward to next season, so don't dwell on "history" and all that nonsense.

Does anyone even vividly remember which two teams the Texans beat in 2005 to avoid going 0-16?

...exactly.

I lol at what you say. I am gonna complain, because i just down a 12 pack of beer and don't even feel a buzz at all now. I always said fire billick since a few years ago. It wasn't his playcalling that made us 13-3 last year, it was the defense making the turnovers to get us in good field range. ALL ABOUT THE DEFENSE LAST YEAR. Who cares about the Texans or any other team. All I care about is the Ravens, and we just lost to the worst team in NFL. So along with these words I quote along with thousands of Raven fans "CYA LATER BILLICK"

Great now I get to hear it from Redskins fans... time to grab that paper bag...

i'm glad that here in austria is hardly anyone who's interested in football, so i don't have to stand those kinds of things

Excellent point Franchise......it's been a tough freaking year........hell even if we lose the last two, what does it matter?! We need to seriously address problems in the offseason to come back with a team worth watching in 2008. I am old enough to remember seeing the Colts when they were here, and all those years without a team when they left........We may have really sucked this season, but at least there is an NFL team in Baltimore again.......and there's always next year :)

Exactly.

Football is an emotional sport, and I can understand how emotional all of you can get from all the time and money and passion you invest in it.

But at the same time, don't look at things so short-sighted that you want pretty much EVERYONE on the team gone.

The more complaining everyone does, the more likely we might see a repeat of the Colts exodus to Indy, or the Cleveland fiasco with the Browns.

And we don't want to end up with no NFL team in Baltimore, now do we?...

Soooo...10th-ranked passing offense and averaging 20+ points a game and those late-game theatrics by Steve McNair & Co., and it was ALL about that defense?...Hmm...

You all realize, no one will care about this game if the Dolphins somehow pull off the upset next week against NE, right?

The Pats could've actually LOST to the Jets, of all teams, this week. They're slowing down and starting to lag again, even after last week's dominant performance against the Steelers.

Funny how many of those people actually come here to gloat or complain after losses, as opposed to people coming on here after a win...

Plain and simple, I'll lay it out like this to each and every fan of EVERY NFL team:

It's EASY to be a fan when your team is winning...

i agree.

we have season tickets and now, we just dont feel like going to sit out in the cold to watch us lose. its not fun anymore. i feel like we're wasting money. its so hard to get myself motivated to even lay on the couch and watch the game.

we NEED a good season next year.

im wiping this whole season out of my head and looking forward for a winning season next year.

Exaaaactly...LOL

I mean, let's be serious...we're all not paid to coach/play the game. We may invest time and money in going to the games or watching the games on TV and buying the merchandise and whatnot, but at the end of the day, we have NO CONTROL whatsoever for what happens on that field.

We, as fans, have no say in anything that happens, because even though we THINK we know better, we really don't.

I'd like to think none of us have ever played in the NFL or been an NFL coach before, so we really DON'T KNOW what it's like to be in their shoes.

And trust me, from what I saw at the Browns game when I won that contest, those players and coaches beat themselves up far worse than any of us verbally could.

This is their livelihood. We can critique and analyze all we want, but never condemn the players for "not trying" or the coaches for "not doing their jobs."

The game is what it is. The final score is what it is.

Just take it in stride and move on. 50 years from now, this isn't something that'll readily be in the front of every football fan's mind.

History never remembers the losers, only the winners. No one in 10 or 20 years' time will readily remember a 1-15 Miami Dolphins squad, should they lose the rest of this season.

Yet EVERYONE remembers the undefeated '72 Dolphins.

And no one ever really remembers the Super Bowl losers, only the Super Bowl winners.

So don't take this loss so personally, because the players and coaches will take it even harder since it affects THEM directly.

All you do is complain about us fans. We haven't won a game in over 2 months and you are so calm lol. We just lost to the worst team in NFL, and all you say is stuff about the past. Gimme a break!!!

That's because (not you personally) so many fans are quick to turn on the team after the snakebitten series of events throughout this season that has befallen the team.

I'm sick of the bandwagon jumpers who complain so much, yet are so quick to embrace the team when they're winning.

It's like I've been saying over and over again:

It's EASY to be a fan when your team is winning...

A loss is a loss. It's not the end of the world. 7-game losing streak? Not nearly as bad as the Dolphins' 13-game losing streak. 15, actually, extending back to last season.

Unless you are actually BETTING on these games, your paycheck is NOT on the line here, so therefore, everyone just has to take it in stride and accept it for what it is.

Everybody complains about Billick.

WHY!?!?!?!

because of our record

because we lost to 0-13 Dolphins

because blah blah blah.....

because everybody is doin it so why not join!?!?

right?

Billick is not the MAIN reason for our season's flaws.

Injuries

Turnovers

Bad calling by refs

ARE all reasons for a 4-10 season thus far.

Billick is an amazing coach.

A coach does not determine a teams' success

Wouldn't the Patriots still be awesome without their head coach!?!?!?

wouldn't Colts be good without their head coach!??!

Therefore we can still be good regardless who is our head coach

Billick Will Be Back Next Year

So Get Used To It!!!!

Personally, you don't sound much like a fan. You've got to be elated when we win, you've got to be upset when we lose. You've got to be mad when we lose a game like we did today. If you think we can just think of this as an English exam, you're sadly mistaken.

does anyone think we have any chance of beating seattle next week?

No not at all, Seattle usually does good at home. Plus we'll have like 10 more starters on the sideline the last couple games.

I'm not upset because I've already been upset enough over losses that were much more significant.

The Bengals games, the Browns games, the Steelers game, the Patriots game.

That's SIX heartbreaking losses that have already affected me and drained me so much. The Colts loss just didn't really do anything to me because it was just another example of why the team is snakebitten.

Frankly, I have more important things personally to worry about in my life than the end result of a football game during a season that's pretty much a wash at this point.

We lost to the worst team in the league this season. Not like this hasn't happened before. (*ahem* The Browns of past years, anyone?)

hey at least the steelers lost today.

At this point, I don't care about anything but the Ravens. The Patriots could have lost today and I wouldn't have cared. This is a loss of Biblical proportions. We lost to a team that could not win a single game all season. We were outplayed in the 4th quarter by an offense that I believe has worse numbers than our offense.

BTW, since no one has mentioned it, where were our safeties on the last play of the game? Why were we playing so far up? Realize the pass was only about 12 yards down the field and our safeties were 5 yards away from the play.

you're right. we made miami look like new england on that last play. our defense should not be this different from last year. we're only missing a few players from last years squad.
