Baltimore Needs A Basketball Team Or Hockey

I'm from West Virgina and i have always been a die hard ravens fan....I travel to Baltimore a lot when i get the chance and stay a few nights...I think they need to get some basketball up there or a hockey team...I miss the football season already...Cant wait for next season hopefully this off season goes well and fast h aha

In regard to hockey in Baltimore, it is distinct that the Capitals won't give up part of their market, but there's always a chance for a minor league team in the City that Reads. If not a minor league team, there's still a chance for someone to form a rebel league to compete with the NHL.

As for basketball, the only way I could picture Baltimore with a pro team is in a minor league. If someone were to start a rebel league in that sport, then Baltimore could again have a chance.

They TRIED AHL hockey in Baltimore (good god I am dating myself when saying that I remember the days of the Baltimore Skipjacks). It might work but is there enough interest in Baltimore to try again?

I heard somewhere that Baltimore might be getting a new arena in the near future. If we get a new arena maybe a hockey or basketball team will be curious about relocating to Baltimore.

I would like for Baltimore to get a hockey or basketball team, but I don't know if it will happen.

I miss the Bullets. I went to quite a few games at the then Civic Center, Wes and the Big E, good times. How could the name Bullets convey violence when the mascot was Tiny B.B., a weiner dog pulling a toy cannon? Gotta watch them you could get a mean hole in your sock, LOL!! Anyway, David Stern has already said in the past , that if Baltimore would go ahead already and Build a new modern Arena, Baltimore would be awarded their own NBA franchise.

The Bandits had a nice few years in Baltimore. I really wish that Baltimore could have an NHL team. If the Caps didn't turn things over the last 3 years and were still terrible, it might be more likely to happen but due to the Cap's recent success there have been people from all around Maryland coming out of the woodwork to jump on the bandwagon

the funny thing is i have not watched them the last few years but i did when they were terrible lmao. im really hoping for our own basketball team. i know it would take a few years to build but i think we could make a splash since we wouldnt have to go against the west coast until the championships.

We have the Wizards but I agree. Baltimore does NEED a NBA team. I say we grab the clippers. LA doesnt really need them and they wouldnt have to change their name.

I don't think We need anymore teams is Baltimore. The reason is because you would see a substantial drop in residual income while sports expenses go up. To reduce your annual saved income the teams you have are enough. Then one would be buying jerseys, tickets to the game, memorabilia and it would have vast impact on your wallet, and income earned....That stuff cannot be written off on your taxes either... Enjoy what you have and don't ask for more!!!!!
