Nfl Network

just wanted to share something with ya'll. i was watching NFL Network today and they showed clips of the legendary "ice bowl" between green bay and dallas. now THAT is football man! some would say they were crazy to even play under those conditions and to that i say YOU'RE RIGHT!!! the fact is, you have to be a little crazy to play football period! that is passion at it's best! i know i have it....if i can walk i can play! a lot of the players today would have made it a point to make sure the game got cancelled. in those days football players were more like gladiators. nothing was garunteed to them. they had to play through everything just to collect a paycheck and feed their family! i'm not saying garunteed contracts are a bad thing, but if a guy gets a hang-nail nowadays, he's on IR! there are a few exceptions like ray lewis, brian dawkins, brett favre, brian westbrook and a few others. but for the most part the old-school players make the modern-day players look like little puppy dogs! football is still the greatest sport known to man, all i'm saying is where has the passion gone?

haha yea ive watched the Ice Bowl Clips/video many many times over as well as the other "NFL films Presents" stuff and man they didnt nearly have the kind of rules they have now so you see the kind of tackles that would SO be illegal in todays game.....makes me go like "wow!...how far have we come!"

Ahh gotcha. It sucks you don't have it the channel rocks. I could DVR it all day!

The cable companies are about to get a ton of flak though once week 17 approaches.
