okay, From the title you probably know what im about to ask... Haloti Ngata #92, the 6-4 345 lb DT the plays for Baltimore..... or Albert Hayensworth the 350 lb
6-6 DT who currently plays for Washington. Im going with Ngata. what do you think?

I think Ngata. Ngata is still young (25) and has a lot more years left in him. Haloti is such a great athlete.

Haloti Ngata

1 x Pro Bowl

2x Second-team All-Pro selection

Albert Haynesworth is a very good player, but I think the Redskins overpaid him.

Ive always thought Haynesworth was overrated..he has really only had one good year and that was in 08. Ngata has been pretty consistent since he came into the NFL.

Haloti is more durable, less of a headache and younger. Though, Albert does collapse the pocket a bit better imo. I really thing Big Shawn for Cleveland is the man, next to Ngata of course.!

Ngata is a better all around athlete, can play end, linebacker and tackle. Were so lucky to have him.

Now Haynesworth can either show up big for you or decide he wants to be lazy.

I'll take Ngata.

Ngata.

Haynesworth is a good player but (to me anyway) he doesn't have the drive and spirit Haloti does.

which sucks because I always believed that Haynesworth had the talent to become a HOF'er. He's like a sleeping giant, wake him up and he will go all Godzilla on you  but most of the time he sleeps.

I'm going to take my purple shades off for just a minute and go with Haynesworth. He's the best player in the world at what he does. If you asked me who I would take if I were starting a franchise tomorrow, it would be Ngata, hands down, because he's younger and more versatile, but at this point in their careers, Haynesworth is the better DT.

Are you basing that off of what he did in Tenn? He wasnt that effective in washington.

Both of them seem to have some anger issues as well.

Ngata has had plenty of personal fouls called on him, and let's not forget Haynesworth's head-stomping incident.

I completely disagree with you there.

First of all, yes, what he did in Tenn is part of the reason he's the better DT. Haynesworth battled more serious injuries than Ngata all year, played in less games, and still ended up having more tackles and over twice as many sacks as Ngata had this year, while Haynesworth was in Washington. I understand Ngata played in the 3-4 much more this year, which drives down a DT's stats, but that doesn't change my opinion about AH.

I'll be the first to say that he's not worth the $100 mil contract he signed for, but again, Albert Haynesworth is the best DT in the league, especially when completely heathly, hands down. If you gave me the option of having one player for just next year, the answer is AH, if you told me I'd have this player for the next 6, I wouldn't hesitate the least bit to take Ngata.

So, we discount a players versatility? Albert has had ONE complete(16game) season and I think that holds a lot of weight on who would be better to start a team with. You cant make plays on the sideline. Plus , we all know ALbert is LAZY. I still think Rogers( even though he missed some games) and Ngata are better then Haynesworth.

I think Wilfork is up their as well as Raji in a few years.

I didn't discount anyone's versatility. I even said that if I were starting a franchise to day I'd take Ngata over Haynesworth because of not only his age, but versatility as well. I simply said that Haynesworth is a better DT, which I strongly feel he is.

I agree though about Wilfork and Raji... they're both studs. Sadly, Ziggy Hood turned it on late for the Steelers, too. He'll be a hell of a player in a few years.
