In my opinion we should definelty keep him as hes the only guy who constantly got pressure on the QB when he was in. He got i think 3 sacks being active and getting playing time in 3 regular season games. He did also got a lot of pressure, even when he didnt get a sack

What do you guys think? Should we keep him?

Towards the end of the season Barnes was one of the more consistent pass rushers on the team IMO. Barnes didn't play that much, but when he did, he played well.

I would keep Barnes. We have a lot of young players with a boat load of potential.

Barnes, Kruger, Ellerbe, Zbikowski, Gooden, Webb, etc.. We have a lot of young great D players with a lot of upside and potential.

Barnes > Burgess

Burgess is invaluable as a gunner; I would say that Barnes is good as a pass rusher on obvious passing downs, but not sure that he's worth much more.

Barnes > Burgess

Like Ravnet said, Burgess was arguably the team's best special teams player not named Sam Koch. Barnes is a decent pass rusher but he doesn't really give you much else.

I wouldn't mind the Ravens keeping him but Kruger bulks up and develops some pass rushing moves in the off-season, Barnes would be expendable.

Reed and Lewis on Offense? lol Just messing with you. But I'd definitely say keep him. I feel that he's grown through the adversity, which made him visibly mature as a player. Besides, he was one of the only players who seemed relentless in terms of rushing the QB. Im all for his return.

He's our best pass rusher and one of the best special teams guys. No clue why Harbaugh keeps him on the bench. Every time he steps on the field he puts heat on the QB and makes plays.

Antwaan Barnes has apparently played his way out of the doghouse according to what I heard on MMQ from Preston as well as what I heard from Aaron Wilson on the radio. I think Barnes will play a bigger role next year as will Kruger and Jameel McClain.

That said, I still think we should address passrush at the DL position. Mattison's style calls for the more traditional DE passrusher instead of the hybrid types that worked better under Rex.

It may even be time to look at taking Ray out on 3rd downs and putting in that extra passrusher. Not sure as Ray still plays at a high level.

Mike Preston was talking about this. Ray shouldn't be on the field in obvious pass-situations because of how limited he is. However, they want to protect his ego.
