Flacco will break a few records of the Ravens next season in his third year...he already has more wins,1300 yds away from most yds all time,16 tds away from all time td's,has a 61.7 completion percentage, averages only 12 ints in 2 years,(hell as much as i love Brett Favre the man averages over 16 a season) kinda can't see how that makes him a bad qb

Breaking a Ravens QB record is like winning a tongue biting contest. The mention that a average QB with average seasons can accomplish many of these milestones in his third year proves the point.

It also proves the point that most fans are being greedy.
A poor man wants a Porsche.

A few things that make me mad, not realizing the defense is offsides and taking a free play, lack of urgency when running the offense and loosing his mind in the redzone.

Guys, guys, guys. Come on now. Now we are criticizing Flacco for what he "not doing" on the sidelines. Really, this is getting ridiculous. Then these comments are based on what's seen on TV. Yeah, everything's shown on TV. (rolleyes).

Flacco has a lot of growing to do. He must start to become a little more assertive. He must do the things mentioned in this quote above. But guess what? That can be said for any other SECOND YEAR QB!

Let the kid grow. He has taken us to two straight postseason games and we were not one and done in either playoff run. We have all forgotten than Flacco is only a second year QB. Someone even compared him to "Erin Rogers" (Aaron Rodgers), but they left out that Rodgers did not even sniff the field until after his 4th season.

Flacco is one of the best young QBs in the game and has far surpassed Matt Ryan. And Flacco is doing this with the worst collection of WRs amongst all of the top QBs. I can't wait to see what he does hen we get som real talent in there at WR/TE and some more imaginative playcalling.

I am not sold on Flacco yet. Maybe it is the ghost of quarterbacks past that haunts me but in my opinion Flacco is going to have to earn my admiration. A 45.02 average QB rating in the playoffs keeps the skepticism alive. 8 Ints to one TD wont put him in the ring of honor.

In Matt Ryan's one playoff appearance, he had Roddy White and a good core of WRs to throw to.

In Ben Wafflesnburgers first two seasons, he had Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Buress to throw to.

In Flacco's first two seasons, he had 36 year old Derrick Mason, a receiver that could catch herpes sleeping with Paris Hilton, and "Alligator-Arms DWill." Also, a TE that gets hurt after every catch he makes which are few and far between.

Yeah, Flacco's numbers have been underwhelming, but they also compare to Ben Rothlesberger and Peyton Manning after their first two seasons.

I think we have been spoiled too soon with Flacco and forgot that he is still a second year QB from 1-AA Delaware. His deficiencies will be fixed with experience.

What is hilarious is that in a league where the rules actually favor the WRs greatly, our receivers still could not produce. That should tell you everything. This receiving corp is actually holding Flacco back.

There are many teams that wish they had Flacco on their team, including fans from ATL that I know; where Matt Ryan is getting torched on their messageboards and radio shows. And Ryan has a better receiving corp.

Carolina would love Flacco. Miami would. Seattle. Chicago(yup). Cleveland. Washington. Tampa Bay. Jacksonville. SF. Buffalo. St.Louis. and the list goes on and on.

We are blessed. Does Flacco have some things to work on? Of course. I am not blind, but all of the things that he's being criticized on can be fixed with game experience. And we know that Flacco will be hard at work on those things. Maybe Mason leaving helps for Flacco to have his voice heard. Remember that Eli Manning was criticized for the same things Flacco is criticized for now. Once Tiki and Shockey left, Eli found his voice and it was heard. Now he is one of the better QBs in the league. Same will happen for Flacco; once we finally get weapons around him.

*facepal* The haters just keep coming up with more ridiculous reasons and flawed logic to harass Joe...

I think that they KNOW they're wrong - they're just in too deep in the argument (too many stupid arguments/logic) I guess that they can't bail out now.

Nice attempt at defending Flacco but dont stretch the truth. Pittsburgh didnt draft Santonio Holmes until the 2006 draft. So, he couldnt have been around during Jen's 2nd year and neither was Plexico Burress, he left for NY after Jen's rookie year. He had Wines Hard and Antwaan Randel El, not the worst combination in the world but not even close to as good as the one you tried to give him.

Second, I am so sick of people bashing Todd Heap, trying to make him seem like a walking hospital. Heap has only failed to play in a full 16 game season TWICE due to injury. Thats it, thats all... TWICE in his 9 year career. To show how durable that makes him, Anquan Boldin, a guy soooooooo many people around here want, has only been able to stay on the field for a full 16 game season TWICE in his 7 year career. Heap has only missed games due to injury in two seasons and Boldin has only not missed games due to injury in two seasons. Heap is fine and he's not as injury prone as people make him out to be.

Every player is dealing with some type of injury when the end of the season rolls around, if anything we should appreciate Heap more because he play's through it.
