Will Ray Lewis Ever Retire?

37 posts in this topic

I can see Ray Lew sticking around until he is 40. Not that his commitment too the game has ever been up for question but id hate too see him stick around too long like Emmit Smith and lose some of the glory he has earned along the way. id hate too see the words "washed up" ever be mentioned in the same sentence as him. I think the is still plenty of gas in the tank for ray ray. The number 52 should be retired, he should have some sort of memorial, and i would love too see him comeback and help coach wether it be backers or strength and conditioning.

If any player can play to 50, its Ray. Even with his age he is still working out every day and working as hard as he can to improve every asset of his game. He has the ability to stay for another seven years if he wanted, but I say he will either stay 5 or until he gets his next ring or possibly both.... When he does become a coach I can imagine him as the 49'ers Mike Singletary type of coach playing smash-mouth football and taking the ravens to a whole new level.

Lewis will finish out his contract(2 years) unless we win the superbowl next year. Lewis is the greatest to ever play this game.

If and when he does his press conference should go we here to announce the great ray lewis retirement and we like to introduce our new linebackers coach the great ray lewis...u need to keep this guy in your organization forever

That would be awesome to have Ray coaching the LBs. I think I heard on some sports show that when he does retire he will be retiring from football altogether, no coaching, commentator, or analysis type jobs. He wants to be with his family. No idea of the validity or truth to this, but again he would be an asset.
