Purple Punishment

Joe Flaccos

Watching the game last night. I have to say that Flacco was not in any real condition to play this game. A hip injury is not something to mess around with. Im not saying that Troy should have been in the game, but it was clear that Joe shouldnt have played last night.

Id much rather have him around in training camp next season than nursing an injury that could keep him out for a long time to possibly being career threatening. Im not saying that he cost us the game and someone else in could have done any better. Im just saying that he shouldnt have been in there especially the way our O line was being abused. Just my thoughts on Flacco playing last night

I think there's definitely some work to do to get him back in playing shape. Wounds heal for the most part, and he should physically be fine come training camp. I'm more worried about his conditioning as it pertains to what he sees and expects to see from play-to-play. Joe will be fine. Joe's got a lot of good years ahead of him for our Ravens.

I'd love for the front office to bring in a mentor to work on reads and speeding up his release - I'd really love for him to have another QB point of view on certain things... someone who can say, "Dude, get rid of the ball" or "good look, no worries" and share their NFL experience with him. I'd love for him to get a release like Brees or even McNabb - both have very quick triggers.

Joe will be fine - it's only year three.
