Thank you to the players, coaches, and managment for a great year and a great decade. I wouldn't know what to do with myself during the cold winter sundays if we had an NFL team like the the Lions or Rams.

My Wife and I would like to say thanks to the Ravens for:

1. Playing like a TEAM without the bickering and negative press other teams endure

2. Holding Fast in the face of adversity and the opnions of the experts.

3. Playing proud, strong, fierce and fair.

These guys are everything that my wife and I expect in a football team. They'll be back and so will we.
This in itself is a great source of pride for all of the TRUE fans of the Ravens. I have gotten so sick of the negativity aimed at the organization on these boards for wanting to build a TEAM based not only on talent, but character as well. We have seen the product of their efforts in a TEAM that we can all be proud of and root for without reservation.

Thank You Steve B. and we hope for continued success and the continued commitment to build a TEAM that will soon be mentioned as one of the elite organizations in the NFL.

Also, if I could just cap re-cap :) :
1. We beat the Steelers in Week 11
2. We officially eliminated the Steelers from the playoffs by beating Oakland
3. We were the last team standing from the AFC North
4. We beat the hell out of Belichek/Brady in a playoff game in Foxboro.

Yeah, if that's what I have to settle for, I'm happy :D .

As I've shared with all of you, this was my first year as a football fall. I never really got the sport. It wasn't until my 8 year old son just sucked me in along with my 12 and 5 year old son's that I just "got" it this year. Now I'm on the board and I'm watching, reading, learning and loving the game. As my family watched the game last night at one point my 8 year old son broke down and started to cry. Not because he's a sore looser, he was really hurting for his team. I looked at him and said, Josh we've fought harder and gone further then anyone has ever given us credit for. Yes, it looks like this is going to be our last game. However we've had some fantastic games, just look at last weekend. We're going to come back hard and strong next year. We went much further then they thought this year, can you even imagine what is next? So we are going to sit here and watch and love our team until the last possible second of this game. He smiled big and that is just what we did. No sadness, we just praised all the good this team did this season. I'm so proud of who they are and what they did. It was a great ride and I'm so glad I got to be a small part of it. I'm just sad I have to wait for next season to see more. But to be sure this Raven's girl is a fan for life now thanks to 3 special boys!

Another fun Raven's season. Would love the ride all the way to the SB, but making it to the playoffs is great. For two extra weekend I got to say it was game day instead of Saturday/Sunday.

Thank you for a great season and look forward to seeing the Pro-Bowlers in two weeks here in South Florida.

In a season full of you can'ts they simply proved they could. THAT is what I'm going to forever remember and nothing epitomizes that more then the win over the Patriots last week. That win will carry me over until next season with a smile from ear to ear!

Thanks Ravens for a great and exiciting year. It was a roller-coaster and loss to the Colts hurts, but players fought hard and it's good to be a Raven fan.
With adding couple of young talented players, we will have great team coming in 2010 season.
GO RAVENS :baltimore-ravens:

I don't really feel like joining in on the negativity. So please no negative posts in this thread. Thought we should say thanks.

Just wanted to say thanks to the Ravens for making this an enjoyable year. Another playoff appearance where we beat one of our arch enemies, the Patriots.

A lot of things to work on, but a lot of things to work off of. Re-tool this offseason, come to training camp in shape, and lets get ready for another Superbowl push next year. Thanks for keeping me occupied throughout the cold months. Thanks for letting us enjoy our team a few more weeks longer and giving us more hope than 24 other fan bases.

Congrats and looking forward to next year. Go Ravens!

I agree! It really was a great season, we won more than lost, extended our season into the playoffs and I had great fun being part of it. To the Ravens I say hold your heads up boys and go get em next season.

It is times like this when you know who the TRUE fans are, I for one I,m Proud to be a Ravens fan,and Proud of the Team and their achievements,We know our strengths and have been shown our weakness's, all I,m going to say is "2010" we,ll be back, faster, stronger and even more dangerous.

I believe in the team, and also believe we have yet to show the world our true best, theres a lot of potential and skill in this team, So I dont have time for all the cussing and bad naming I,ve heard on some forums blaming this player and that player.
We,ll be back
2010

P.S. Ed Reed Dont go, we going to need you next time around (Got a few old debts still left to settle).
Down but not out.

i was just happy we made the playoffs, what with all our inconsistencies in the regular season. absolutely thrashing the patriots made my day. in the end we just got outplayed. we just need to work on the stupid stuff, namely penalties, and we have a certain trophy in the bag. good job ravens! now i get to look forward to the lowly orioles! <_<

Ravens, Thanks so much to put great efforts to make 2 playoffs in the row. My family and I are so proud of you guys, Ravens. Thanks to coaches and coaching staffs and players and also the owner too.

Lets start training camp and make good drafting this year, so we can take this team again back to playoff contender, at best for superbowl.

Thanks for the awesome season Bmore! Definitely a lot of ups and downs but we're proud to be part of it. I really hope everyone on this team will come back next year (especially Reed,Mason) stronger, healthier, and hungrier.

In the off-season, I'd like to see us add some depth in the Recieving/Cornerback positions.

It's Monday evening, and I'm still wishing we could turn back the clock and play the game over again. Still got an upset stomach from it. But hey, this team gave us a crazy but good ride this year. Thank you Ravens team, and I'm begging Ray Lewis and Ed Reed to give us just one more year, one more shot. One change I want to see made is the offensive play calling, let's get a little more creative and a little less predictable.

I absolutely agree!!! The win over the Patriots still brings a BIG smile! The hardest part is waiting until next season to see my team again. For my husband and I every game day is like a holiday! I am new to this so please bear with me, I just felt like I couldn't let this season, or our players, go without expressing my deep appreciation for all their hard work. And for giving us, those who remember the drought, a team we can stand with and support. Winning is important (and fun!) but for some of us it is about much more than that.
Thank you Ravens!!!!

Just adding another vote of appreciation for our 2009 team and franchise.

I'm thankful for many things, not limited to:

1. Finally regaining our defensive mojo, despite the loss of Rex.
2. Watching Flacco grow and throw less INTs. His sophomore year wasn't the slump it could have been
3. Ray Rice. 'nuff said.
4. Finally having an O-line that can pass protect against most of the NFL.
5. Beating the Patriots at Gillette.
6. Ray and Ed's perennial heart and passion
7. Foxworth finally "playing like a Raven".
8. The flash of what Lardarius can be.
9. Parmele's future.
and
10. Going further than both the Bungles and Squeelers.

We're lucky fans to get to watch our team play into January as often as we do-- and I know with Oz at the helm we'll be getting another ring soon!

I wanted to give my memorable plays of this year (in no particular order):

1. Paul Kruger's INT in OT against the Steelers

2. Jarret Johnson's sack on the first play of the Broncos game

3. Ray Lewis' hit on Darren Sproles in the final seconds of Chargers game

4. Suggs stripping the ball from Tom Brady and running it back to the red zone.

There defnitely were a few heart-stopping moments this year, and the occasional disappointment, but there wasn't a week that I did not look forward to a Sunday afternoon or evening with the Ravens. I got to be at The Bank when Derrick Mason made his 800th career reception, when we got our revenge against the Steelers in OT for sweeping us last year, and when Ray Rice reached the 1000 rushing yards mark during the season. Despite how things ended, my support for our boys has only grown, and I'll be following the FA and Draft closely to see just what Ozzie, Harbs, and crew come up with for next year.

See y'all at the Spring Football Fest, and GO RAVENS!

I want to add my cheers and thanks to the Ravens for another great year!

It's great to be a Ravens fan!!!

I know we all have high hopes for our team when the seasons start, but so do all team's fans. Many of them get their hopes dashed early in the season and some get them dashed later. We were given a great full season [hey, every team has some rough spots] into the playoffs.

Congratulations and thanks, Ravens!

Along with all the comments here about the great season and the great Ravens fans, I want to add that we seem grateful for effort of the players and don't "expect" our team to constantly be #1. I think that was a failing of the Patriots fans this year. Once again, their team made the playoffs, but when they had a rough game against the Ravens, their fans booed them. That was uncalled for. The Patriots have given their fans too many good years for them to have reacted that way. If you can't support your team through the rough times, you aren't much of a fan.

That said, the Ravens victory over the Patriots was certainly a high point for our team!

:argdancingravensblueonwkk8:

Like others have said, I'd like to have seen Derrick Mason and Ed Reed get rings, since I think they both might retire after this season. I'm hopeful that Ray Lewis will get another ring and Joe Flacco, Ray Rice and all the others will get their first of many rings soon.

RAY LEWIS HAS STILL GOT IT. I was a little worried going into this season he would be a little off (not due to a lake of intensity but clearly i had nothing too worry about. One of the games best of all time is still bustin heads left and right. GREAT SEASON RAVENS!!!!!
