Congratulations, Ravens!

I don't really feel like joining in on the negativity. So please no negative posts in this thread. Thought we should say thanks.

Just wanted to say thanks to the Ravens for making this an enjoyable year. Another playoff appearance where we beat one of our arch enemies, the Patriots.

A lot of things to work on, but a lot of things to work off of. Re-tool this offseason, come to training camp in shape, and lets get ready for another Superbowl push next year. Thanks for keeping me occupied throughout the cold months. Thanks for letting us enjoy our team a few more weeks longer and giving us more hope than 24 other fan bases.

Congrats and looking forward to next year. Go Ravens!

It was an admittedly entertaining year, despite all the ups-and-downs. There was no shortage of drama, and it's fitting that the season would end with a monumental upset followed by a crushing defeat.

There were a lot of highlights and low-lights, but there were plenty of reasons to be proud of this team. Despite all the negatives, there's still plenty of promise heading into next season and the window to win a championship isn't closed yet. Not by a longshot.

Ray Rice is one of the deadliest weapons in the NFL. Ed Reed showed that he's still a ballhawk. The Ravens defense improved significantly in the second half of the season and returned to form. The passing attack showed promise early in the season with virtually no receivers. Joe Flacco took the next step to becoming a good QB and progressed just as he should have in his second year. Ray Lewis fought off Father Time for another year.

The Ravens will get another shot at the Patriots next season, as well as the first regular-season meeting against Rex Ryan and his Jets. Drew Brees brings his Saints to Baltimore for a potential shoot-out. And the Flacco-Ryan Bowl will finally go down in the Georgia Dome, with the top 2 QBs in the 2008 Draft Class facing off.

Lots to be excited about in 2010.

yes it is very hard after a loss like this to look positive yet look what we have done. First flacco has lead the team twice to the playoffs in his second year as a quarter back, congrats!!!. Second look how good we played all year other than two of our losses they were very well played and tight games. Ray rice had an extremely awesome year,Mason stayed after thinking about retirement and greatly helped this team, after season ending injuries our guys stepped up to play like true ravens, we saw guys that started our not so great , really grow as the season went on foxworth really proved himself as well as others. So lets embrace this season,,put this ending loss behind us and congat the ravens for a great season,, and just remember all the teams that did not even make it this far

I'm proud of our boys. If we get back to fundamentals this off-season, we'll be in for another fun ride. Can't wait for the Combine and Ozzie's wheeling and dealing :)

It was definitely entertaining. But would we expect anything else from this franchise in their young history?

And I agree, Rice has finally arrived to the scene. Teams will have to figure out ways to stop him, every game. It's going to be fun watching him grow. He should be a monster in 2010.

It's kind of fitting also that we beat the Patriots. Who are questionably at the end of their dominant reign. While we are tinkering with moving to the next level. Sort of a potential passing of the guards.

It's almost appropriate that, in getting one monkey off our back (the Patriots), we have another one left (the Colts.)

well to be honest, I was pleasantly surprised by the beating we gave the Patriots last week after the rollercoastery season they had. I'm proud of them to get it together last week, but Colts just proved to be better and well-rested. Thank you Ravens for giving me the joy this season, I'll be looking forward to next season.. well at least now I can do homework on the weekends without checking the scores every 5 minutes lol

In a season of "cataclismic" ups and downs, thanks for a good and entertaining season RAVENS. No one thought you would make the playoffs and you DID!

No one thought your run defense would improve, but it DID!

No one thought your pass defense would improve, but it DID!

No one thought Frank Walker could play, but he DID!

No one thought Mattison could coach, but he DID!

No one thought you could run the ball, but you DID!

Ray Lewis made All Pro...He DID!

Ray Rice made the Pro Bowl...He DID!

Haloti Ngata, Ed Reed, and Leron McClain made the Pro Bowl... they DID!

John Harbaugh made the playoffs his first two years...He DID!

No one thought you had any offense, but you DID!

Hey, I criticized, when I thought you played poorly. I called out the coaches when I disagreed with them too. But inthe end, you had a great season and it was one of the most entertaining.

Congratulations on a great year. God Bless The Ravens! :troll:

my thought too, i posted a topic and looked and then saw 1 minute prior to posting you also did congrats ravens!!!!!

Don't you hate when that happens. I drove home and was surprised to see no congratulations threads. Just people bashing WR, Flacco, coaches and D.

It's a tough pill to swallow. But this franchise has proven that'll it'll be back.

I guess it was too much to hope for getting two monkeys off our backs in consecutive weeks. The colts were able to get their 'one' monkey off their back in this game by proving that the rest mattered. But the win against the Patriots was a huge victory for this franchise.

I'd love to be optimistic about next year, but all that really depends on what we do in the off-season.

Ray Rice...your skills awed me so the core. Your work ethic and drive impressed and inspired me. Keep it up! You are my numbah one!

Ray Lewis: thank you for your fire and your passion. You played every game with your heart on your sleeve and I loved that about you every week.

To the team, thanks. Sure the season was a roller coaster of epic proportions but there was never a day that I wasn't proud to call myself a Ravens fan. There was never a day when I felt ashamed to wear purple. It's time to build on what took place this season...work hard, be strong and be smart. Look ahead and don't look back except to learn from the mistakes.

Love,
me

I don't want to be negative because I love the Ravens and all their fans because we all have heart. Next year and we have 5 players in the Pro Bowl to cheer for. They had a bad day at work and it happens to all of us. But, what the Ravens stand for is something to be proud of. I just hope Ray Lewis stays on for a while longer and if he isnt' on the field I would hope he will be on the side lines coaching.

go Ravens our season is done but the heart in all the players and fans stay alive. Ravens we all still love ya. through good and bad.

the Ravens are the best because they are more than a football team.

Tough way to end - but thanks to the Ravens for a great season. Made some great adjustments mid-year and stayed together. I loved how Flacco and Johnson both were right there to encourage Ray Rice after the fumble...they gotta stick together and come out strong again next year. GO RAVENS!

man i really wanted Ed to get a ring this year.
[/quote]

Same here. Reed has been my favorite football player of all-time. I love the man even if his ball handling does drive me batty. I would really love to see Ed Reed get a Superbowl ring.

But man did Reed show some heart out there today. He just couldn't get the breaks. But he was jumping the deep route and waiting for Manning to overthrow. 2 Int's in less than a few minutes (despite being called back), he showed that his heart was out on that field but lady luck wasn't.

Just nuts and bolts - it was a winning season, we made it to the second tier of the playoffs, many of the games we lost were within spitting distance of a win, and we stomped the Pats, which was very satisfying. Not too shabby. Remember, there are not many other fans that can say the same about their teams.

As my username states I am from Indy and a Colts fan. I just wanted to post on this forum, specifically this thread because of how positive it is. I believe you guys have a great team and great fans, especially based on the threads from this post. You guys are right in that you have a lot to look forward to. You have a young QB that has a lot of talent and much more to come. As a poster said above, it took Peyton a long time for his ring, but the wait was well worth it. Again, I thought it was a good game and of course I am excited about next week, but really wanted to tell the fans, what a great team they had and we look forward to seeing you guys again next year.

Damn Skippy. You know how many Redskins fans talk to me about how much they love our owner, GM and offensive line? There are fanbases out there who wish they could just see their team in a playoff game. One game! A playoff appearance for most fanbases is a HUGE accomplishment.

We as Ravens fans have gotten to enjoy, in this past decade, a Superbowl, AFCCG game, Divisional Appearances and multiple other playoff Appearances. The way this organization is built from the top down, gives me all the confidence in the world they'll make the best decisions to return us to the playoffs next year.

Thank you for a great season. There were many ups and downs, but I really like what I see coming. I also would like to thank the individuals who go out into the communities and help out. I am blessed to have gone to 4 games this year, all ending with a win(my TV record is horrible of course). But, no matter what, I am a Baltimore Raven Fan!!!

A year with ups and downs has come to an end! I think the team is on the right way and will be fine the next years! Just keep on working! Get Joe some weapons! That will help us on both sides of the ball! Go Ravens!
