Anyone know what defensive player has lost the most fumbles? I can think of three ed reed fumbles off the top of my head.

Since he touches the ball more often than any other defensive player, Reed probably has lost more. Of course, he's gotten more picks and scored more points than everyone else too...

he coulda held the ball a little tighter

He could have scored and it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game.

I can blame Ed for the fumble, it's pretty darn Bush league to not know to carry the ball in the outside arm. If it were to be knocked out, most likely it would have been out of bounds. Though, without that awesome pick we wouldnt even be talking about it.

reed is a beast he has tons of picks and keeps the oppsing teams offense on their toes your gonna have a few fumbles when you play as intense as ed reed does

Agreed. Its not a new problem for Ed. I can think of about 4 Ed Reed fumbles off the top of my head.

1. An interception fumble vs the Pats in 07.
2. Fumbled on a punt during the Pitt blowout in 07
3. His rookie year, he fumbled vs. the Browns going into the endzone celebrating early
4. Earlier this year vs. the Colts

its not intensity. Its carelessness and selfishness. All he thinks about is scoring, thus the laterals and bobbing and weaving while dangling the ball. I know our offense struggled but its not 2004 anymore, our offense is good enough to score points given some momentum. He should have been protecting the ball. At the very least he could have put it in his outside arm so the fumble would have went out of bounds.
Man please they played the perfect d against our no looks offense. All we want to do is run and when we throw its to mason or Clayton take mason out of the game, stop the run, and you win its that easy. Points Joe Flacco starring down his receivers please easy to defend.

I can't even blame Reed for that fumble today. That was just a good play by Garcon.
If you watch the play again, watch Jarret Johnson. He could have either blocked Garcon, or some lineman. He went after the lineman.
