Cleo Lemon To Start Against Ravens

24 posts in this topic

i strongly believe that any team can beat another on any given sunday, but does it really matter who starts at QB for the dolphins? unless their "D" can hold the ravens scoreless( highly unlikely! ) the dolphins would probably lose to LSU or Ohio State they're that bad!

Uh, we are talking about the Ravens offense that was being shut out by the Browns defense in the first half a month ago. The same offense that it took THREE quarters to score on a injury plagued sorry Bengals defense. Dont get cocky, our team is just as bad as the Dolphins and if our team turns the ball 6 times like they have done against defenses that are just as bad, WE WILL LOSE. The Dolphins should in no way be taken lightly.

by no means am i taking them lightly.....who knows, maybe the dolphins will be the ones to beat the patriots? the sun even shines on a dog's butt somedays. anything can happen. but i do have faith that the ravens can atleast put up enough points to get out with a victory. the ravens surely are not having the best of seasons, but they are nowhere near as gruesome as the dolphins! no one is.

I would LOVE for the Dolphins to beat the Patriots. Anything can happen.

yes....anything can happen and Will hapen in this league of ours.....

But i feel we can pull out a W in this one....i feel that our offense will have themselves a good day and McGahee will rush for over the 100 yard mark with at LEAST 1 TD....

Defensively...i would expect our turnover ratio to take a climb (not TOO much but still a climb in the positive direction) and our defense i think will get to the QB, notching about 2-3 MAYBE 4 sacks...creating better field position for our offense and more opportunities to score on our side of the football.

You probably had that same faith against the Bungals in Baltimore. How did that work our for us? Bottomline is we need to be humble because if they lose this game and they might, you will feel like such crap afterwards. Save yourself from the pain and dont get to excited.

7 straight loses, 2 wins that could have easily been loses, leading the league in penalties, in the top 3 in turnovers. We are not as bas as the Dolphins? You are in denial.

Again, we could have expected those same things against the Bengals and even the Browns but it didnt happen did it?

neepo13's signature of Ed Reed with the ball in his hands and a Miami player on the ground NEEDS to happen this weekend. Not for the sake of the game, but for the sheer fact that I am a huge Ed Reed fan. In fact, back in the day I was a huge Eddie Murray fan. I think the solidarity of baltimore sports teams is based around a potential hall of famer named Ed. I think the Orioles management needs to read this post, recruit a stellar player named Ed (anything) and start coming back into competitiveness.

wow, that was a pointless rant.

lol

I think Lemon was the starter for several of those 3-point losses. He can be competitive, so it matters that he's starting. Plus, this gives the Ravens a different QB to plan for.

i think its just a matter of getting pressure on him and not letting him have ALL the time in world.... and create turnovers off of their mistakes and hold their offense to be very limited on the field.

bottomline is the dolphins have a big, fat goose egg in the win column! i 'm not in denial that the state of the ravens is down, i believe that this team is better than the way they are playing and a lot of things can be factored into that. as a fan, i refuse to post things like this player sucks or the coach is an idiot or anything of that nature because i have faith that they can go out and win every game any week regardless of records shown. sure i get made when i see things such as blown coverage or a mis-timed route, mis-tackles and things of that nature but what team doesn't that happen to on occasion? you need to have faith that this mess will get properly repaired starting this week since we know we are playing for next season already. it's very possible that it could look uglier in the next three weeks than it has all season, but that is the tip of the iceberg in the evaluation process. the turnovers and penalties are horrendous no doubt! but as far as the wins that could have been losses...the patriots also have 2 wins that very easily could have been L's, but a win is a win! if the ravens won the superbowl one year by a point because the opposing team missed a field-goal at the end to win it, would you complain then?

Well, thats the difference between me and you. I will believe it when I see it. And the fact the Dolphins have a goose egg in the win column is irrelavent and gives us no advatage over them what so ever because if you havent been watching the last few weeks let me refresh your memory, over the last 7 games, we have a big goose egg in the win column. We have yet to win with our backups on the field and it wont get any easier. My point is DO NOT GET COCKY. Because we should have been able to score on the Bengals and we should have been able to score early and often on the Browns but we didnt. So, just because we should be able to do whatever against the Dolphins does not mean that we will. Anyone who has watched this team this year would be silly to think anything otherwise because this team is like night and day, you never know which Ravens will show up.

i highly doubt that we are "cocky" at this point in time during the season...besides the fact that we practice/train very hard each week....but in saying that...the other/opposing team is preparing just as hard as anyone else.....as do ALL teams in this league.

Well, not cocky but calling this Dolphins game easy. I hope they can easily go down there and spank the Dolphins but you never know.

i think we all hope that....but i think we all should just simply hope/pray for the running game to get itself up and running so that we can let McGahee do his own thing and get those yards and move those chains...while our passing game just needs to be at a steady "Par" level.....and have the Defense create/force teh necessary turnovers and more chances for us to score.

i believe that if our corners play well.....we will have More so of a chance than not....if our team Plays as a unified team and play as one united force....and do the type of things we know they are capable of doing....then i feel that we be able to rattle their QB and force him into making enough mistakes to give our team the better overall shot.

Really? The same Dolphins that lost to the Steelers by a last minute field goal.

The same team that crushed the living snot out of us. We couldn't stop Ben if he would have been blind-folded.

Don't forget the notorious Joey porter will be playing. You better count on at least 1 sack and a couple late hits out of him.

knowing Ed and his athletism.....it wont be a fumble or anything like that...i feel that he will come up with at least 1 interception in this one....along with a few hard hits
