Hmmm, Peyton has Reggie Wayne & Clark, and turned the other into good ones. Joe has Rice, Mason AND Heap.
okay, let me assure you something that should be obvious to most of the reasonable fans.. Flacco is a 2nd year QB, Peyton Manning is a 12 year veteran and may be one of the best in the history of the league. I don't think it's fair to compare those two.

Yeah. Trade Joe. Ravens need to trade Joe, while they still have value for him. I wouldnt mind seeing him getting a chance to succeed some where else.

Drew Brees brings his Saints to Baltimore for a potential shoot-out.

yeah and mason and heap are probowl receivers in their prime right?
...... I don't get your point...... You're just pointing mine out even more.
Well everyone has their own opinion, but I'll take Dilfer and the Ravens over Marino and the Dolphins every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Edit: Can you just rip into them for once Harbs?
Lol, see, I wasn't making it happen like that. I meant QB, not team..... Which QB is better, not team.

No offense bro, but are you seriously comparing Reggie Wayne & Clark to Rice, Mason AND Heap? Not a good argument there.

Bowing out in the wild card round? I know that no one on the team would have ever thought about that. This run wasn't about free agency. It was about the SuperBowl. Yeah ok...we failed. But I would have been extremely pissed off had the team laid down to the Patriots.
I would as well. It's just that now we can't even go out and sign to top flight receiver in free agency if one becomes available because we made it to the final 8. Seem like doing so has hurt us more in retrospect.

I'd rather have a QB with better stats than a QB that'll just have an amazing running game & defense, i.e. Marino vs. Dilfer.
well see now kid, the Dan Marinos and Peyton Mannings of the world don't just grow on trees.

Stop with the damn record. You have to look at the QB himself. Peyton has 1 really good receiver, but the rest WERE garbagio, before he got to them. Dan Marino had a very sucky team, yet he was good.
Sorry chi_town, I will not agree with you. Flacco has the arm, the intelligence and the poise to be great. Is he at that level now, not quite, but he has a good future ahead of him. Marino had some great receivers, Duper and Clayton, so you don;t know your football history. Manning will go down as one of the best in the game. You can chatter all you want here, but I am not impressed with your football knowledge.

It was an admittedly entertaining year, despite all the ups-and-downs. There was no shortage of drama, and it's fitting that the season would end with a monumental upset followed by a crushing defeat.

There were a lot of highlights and low-lights, but there were plenty of reasons to be proud of this team. Despite all the negatives, there's still plenty of promise heading into next season and the window to win a championship isn't closed yet. Not by a longshot.

Ray Rice is one of the deadliest weapons in the NFL. Ed Reed showed that he's still a ballhawk. The Ravens defense improved significantly in the second half of the season and returned to form. The passing attack showed promise early in the season with virtually no receivers. Joe Flacco took the next step to becoming a good QB and progressed just as he should have in his second year. Ray Lewis fought off Father Time for another year.

The Ravens will get another shot at the Patriots next season, as well as the first regular-season meeting against Rex Ryan and his Jets. Drew Brees brings his Saints to Baltimore for a potential shoot-out. And the Flacco-Ryan Bowl will finally go down in the Georgia Dome, with the top 2 QBs in the 2008 Draft Class facing off.

Lots to be excited about in 2010.
On the other hand we went from an 11-5 Championship contender to a 9-7 divisional contender. This could be seen as a downward slide.

Hopefully this was our typical down year and we'll rebound next season. I'm going to miss Mason though, and the team probably will too.

Not the point. Point was, you can't say the whole, "receiver" theory. Ray Rice, Mason, Heap, and Clayton are better than the Colts' personnel.

What did we earn out of this? A lower draft spot and that's about it...Get rid of Harbs already.

plus Heap was banged up for this game, and Mason is 35 years old.. not to mention Rice is a running back so when he gets a reception it's usually a checkdown...

Sorry it was sarcasm, clearly you think mason and heap are in their primes and thats kinda scary right there. Flacco is in his second year, and Peyton is in his 12 year? Kinda hard to compare the two.

of course I am. But people think Joe lost us the game single handedly. Last time I checked. Joe didnt catch his own passes. #6 drops.
The team lost too many mistakes and cant make those mistakes against Great teams.

Actually, you cannot say that. Right now I would take Wayne over Mason, Clark over Heap, and Collie and Garcon over Clayton. Wayne is in his prime now, Heap is consistently injured and Clayton has proven to be a bust. Your analysis is way off.

That was nothing short of pathetic. It was a fitting end to a frustrating season.
Yea, frustrating. We play awesome one game and then the next well today says it all. I think we need to think about a different QB than Flacco. We need a Qb that lights up the field like Ray Rice foes. I also think the offensive coach needs to be reviewed. Did they not prepare for the game?

Our season is over but, I wouldnt be a fan of any other team!even when they lose and no matter how frustrating it is the Ravens and all the fans are awesome and it is our heart and soul that makes us a winner.

I bleed purple now and always will. The colts fans booed and expressed negativity when the Colts lost to the steelers, well Ravens fans have more class than that.

Next year and we have 5 players to cheer for in the Pro Bowl.

You said that you didn't want Joe to just be the guy with a good running game and D; that is talking about the team. I stand by what I said. I'd rather have my team win the big game than have a qb that everyone else thinks is good.
Sadly, it's painfully obvious that the Colts are our daddy

And the Bengals and the Steelers...

No. . .just, no. Not even close to being right.

Mason isn't better than Wayne, Heap isn't better than Clark, and Clayton isn't better than high school receivers.

OMG, all I said was Joe doesn't look like a poised NFL Playoff QB out there. Doesn't mean he won't be. You all need to stop reading these posts with the purple shades on and get real. As in realistic. I can safely say that as much as I love him, Joe Flacco played average out there today. I wont say he sucked, because he shined a little.

Yeah, I am. Rice not only opens up the passing game, but he IS the passing game.

..........??????? Maybe you're going senile, but I didn't say we could have them, I said I'd rather have him. Read the whole argument, buddy.

............ Once again, READ THE WHOLE POST!!!! I'm not saying Marino didn't have good personnel, I'm saying that I'd rather have a QB with better stats than a QB with a better record!!!!
I did and your post make no sense. Flacco is a 2nd year QB and is improving. Your pathetic attempts at analysis are way off the mark
