Divisional Playoff – Baltimore Ravens At Indianapolis Colts

1,552 posts in this topic

Nice stop Foxx & Co. So far:

Scores to Possessions:

Colts: 1-2

Ravens: 1-1

Waaaaaaaay to early, but if the Ravens keep this up, a win wouldn't be out of reach.

That's the only knock I'd make on Ray Lewis and his battle against Father Time; he's not as athletic as he once was. Otherwise, in his prime, he'd easily be able to cover Clark on that play.

The loss of Scott hurts badly against quarterbacks like Manning.

I honestly think that we should just flood Manning as he will hit every damn receiver with time.

Then again, he is ridiculous at reading blitzes and hitting receivers with one-on-one coverage, but sending the house is the lesser of two evils, as we just saw on that third down.

They had two guys covering him. He wasn't going anywhere.

Yeah, it didn't look like he was going to be able to head up field anyway.

It's not like having Scott helped us beat the Colts.

Manning is good in general, but he absolutely destroys the blitz. That's not to suggest that we should rush three, because that never works against anyone, but going all out is an invitation for a big offensive play.

Let's have another 90 yard drive and take about7-8 minutes off the clock

This is the problem with a field position game; we're not going to have consistent "90 yard drives" to "take about 7-8 minutes off the clock."

Would you rather not have a good pass coverage linebacker against Manning?

I don't think Scott was the problem.

Damn, that cutback run by Rice just now was almost reminiscent of that TD run last week...only wish it would've gone for more yardage and a score, obviously.

Everytime I see Rice make a cut with a little bit of daylight in the middle, I get a little bit anxious. Always expecting he may burst into a huge gallop.

Ravens need to sacrifice one catch for knocking the crap out of Petyon. It'll keep him on his feet.

This isn't Chad Pennington, Carson Palmer, or any other porcelain quarterback. Manning will just get back up after having earned a first down.
