A Sad Ravens Tale

You may want to sit down for this one... Okay.

My wife works for Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School, I get home from work and she tells me that the Dean at Hopkins sent her an email stating that he has two tickets to the Ravens/Patriots game and, if she wanted them, he'll bring them directly to her office. All she was required to do was to be at Hopkins at 5am to board the bus. My dear, sweet wife tells him "no"; and why, you wonder?

She thought that I'd, "...be uncomfortable sitting on a bus with people I didn't know". WHAT?! After I broke down in tears, I explained that I would have made friends with a monkey if I knew it mean't tickets to SEE THE RAVENS?!... IN FOXBORO?!!... IN A PLAYOFF GAME?!!! As if that wasn't bad enough, then she says "...and the ticket were $250 a piece". That doesn't happen everday!!!

And yes, I'm still in mourning.

That's not the half of it. I also work at M&T Bank Stadium during the season, so I don't get to see much of the game when the Ravens are playing at home. I'm always telling her how, just for once, I'd like to go to a game just to watch and not for work! She must have missed that comment.
