Could this be a good sign for the Baltimore Ravens?

I think this will play a huge factor in the game.

This crew headed by Carl Cheffers, has thrown just 5 PI penalties all season.

The football gods have blessed us in the playoffs so far.

Last week we had the #2 lowest PI flag throwing Crew in the NFL.
This week we get to have the #1 lowest PI flag throwing Crew in the NFL.

On top of that, of the games he ref'd this year. Only 43% of home teams have won. Look Out! We can play some physical ball.

Good! And on top of that, their most popular penalty, is HOLDING. That will also work to our advantage I would think. I can't recall how many times I'm sitting in front of the TV and watching Suggs, JJ, or Barnes getting held.

I think the PI thing definitely gives you a little advantage but I disagree with the holding. Freeney and Mathis get held on nearly every play and it is rarely called.

Valid point, but my guess is the holding calls will be fairly even.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you stick around and continue to contribute after Saturday night. Some of the Patriots fans who were trolling said they would be back regardless of the outcome but they drown themselves in Sam Adams and never came back.

I think you should come back and contribute after your loss because you'll have all offseason to think about how a 9-7 team took down arguably the best team in the history of football and the best quarterback in NFL history.

I think this will definitely help us and harm them if it holds true.

Any high attempt passing team needs the defense to be contact sensitive as much as possible. Our style of smash mouth is going to give Indy's style of offense trouble.

He's been named the referee for tomorrows game...does anyone know where he ranks among penalties and such?

Since we got one of the 'fairest' referees last week when it comes to penalties in the NFL i think that helped in our rout..a few calls would've been made against our secondary last week if it were one of the flag happy crews that we've seen in the past.

There has already been another thread on this. Apparently, his crew has thrown the least amount of PI flags all season. A ref that lets the players play ball bodes very well for the Ravens
