Tmq On The Ravens & Your Perfect Holiday Gift!

21 posts in this topic

I'm a bigtime Tuesday Morning Quarterback (TMQ) fan, funny guy and very insightful. Anyways, heres a link to this week's article that mentions the Ravens a bit: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...terbrook/071211

But for those of you who want the highlights without leaving this page.....

"Stat of the Week No. 3: Since taking the field for their final playoff appearances last season, a combined 28-6 at that point, the Bears and Ravens are a combined 9-19.

Stat of the Week No. 5: Baltimore was a leading-leading plus-17 for turnovers in 2006; currently, Baltimore is a league-worst minus-17.

Baltimore -- This Year's Train Wreck Team: From the point at which they attained a fourth-quarter lead against the undefeated Patriots, the Ravens have been outscored 54-20 at home, dropping consecutive night dates to the Pats and Colts in just six days. When the 2007 sked came out, Ravens faithful looked at these consecutive national-TV home games as an avenue of glory; instead, this stretch became a dark siding on which the train derailed. (Note to ESPN metaphor department: Please check.) Since taking the field in January for a home playoff game with a sparkling 13-3 record and favored by many to win the Lombardi, Baltimore is 4-10. The Ravens briefly looked like their old selves against the Patriots, then stunk against the Colts. How can a team go from 13-3 to needing a housecleaning in a mere 11 months?"

And last, but not least, he had this in his article: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2644673

Also, theres a McNair toy. Bet thats a hot-selling item!

It is cool because the company only made like 15 or 16 athletes in ALL of sports, and two of em are Ravens. Thats pretty heart-warming considering we get screwed out of all the NFL merchandise commercials. Seriously, when the shop.nfl commercials come on, you NEVER see any Ravens gear being advertised.

think my mom got me a McGahee Authentic jersey or a Troy Smith one because she called him on her cell and asked me what top 2 players would my top choices...and i said "McGahee or Troy Smith"....but i will have to wait and see...pretty sure though, if she did....then that will be my FIRST authentic jersey ever for me.....right now i cant afford those kinds of jersey's..so im stuck with the 25 dollar ED Reed one.......but i love it just the same!

you better hope its a mcgahee jersey! he at least is playing and will play the next few years.....troy could be sitting on the bench the next few....or not even play at all. Always get an aunthentic of a young starting player or just signed a long term extension!

im pretty sure its a McGahee Jersey haha....though im not POSITIVE on that but pretty sure.

I got myself a McNair jersey last year. Shelf life= 1 year after purchase

My friends and I all rock different jerseys when we get together to watch Ravens games. My position (or at least I want it to be) is QB so I'm screwed.... How many years does C-Mac have left on his contract? I might make his my next investment...

I wear the same jersey everygame, its my purple authentic #52...looks like a ray jersey but has my name on the back! That way I never have to buy a "new" jersey for a new player out there! hehe

But ive always wanted a white authentic jersey, so i made the dive and got a mcnair one thos year...only cost me $15 for one with sewn on patches and numbers. SO got my monies worth i guess for a few games! I plan on "converting" it in the off season though. Im going to take the name plate off the back and a local place to sewn on a new one with my name or maybe "ravens fan" on the back.

I have a #10 with "Birdfan" on the back that I've worn only once. Right after I bought it (when NO ONE had #10), we signed Kordell and he took that number. Even though I bought it because I'm in Nest 10, I just couldn't wear it. Now I can finally get it out of the closet again.

People still buy Raven's quarterback jersey's?

Haven't we learned anything over the last 8 years? lol!

My father has a Dilfer, Grbac, and McNair jersey. Thank god he also has a Ray Lewis jersey to fall back on.

A McGahee jersey is tempting but I always stick with the defense. My Boulware jersey was retired after he autographed it for me. Coincidentally, this happened during Ed Reed's rookie season so I picked up #20 and have worn it ever since.

lol....yes we are..we must have faith in our Quarterbacks ability...and Troy Looks very promising for us. given the proper amount of time to get things down pat and to an "ease".

lol, there's nothing wrong with getting a McGahee Jersey seeing how he's been one of the main driving Force's for our team and/or our offense. been the spark.
