Props to them overall for the past couple of games, they've been pretty solid so far. Let's hope they can continue their play vs the Colts.

They have stepped up as of late, now is the best time to step up. Its the playoffs!!!

Car has stepped up on D, and has stepped up on ST.

If Carr & Walker play like they did against NE and dont commit any penalties, we will have a great shot at winning.

I'm amazed that Walker was able to play so physically against the Patriots and not draw a flag.

I think that supports the notion that, if this were the NFL of only a few years ago, Frank Walker would possibly be an excellent starting corner. But because of all the rule changes in favor of the offense, Walker is a victim of change and his style of play has been phased out as a result.

Walker can be good, but he can also be bad. He is not the best CB to ever play the game, but he sure as hell is not the worst.

Frank also made a great adjustment. If you re-watch the game, he was physical and watched the QB. Usually he's physical at bad times, because he has no idea where the ball is.

At least in NE. We were getting pressure on the QB, so Frank didn't have to get lost deep in coverage. He could do his thing.

But if the QB has time, Frank is going to get beat deep a lot, and will draw flags.

If Suggs can repeat his, then they will have a great game as well.

to be honest we did get away with a few plays where they could have been called. i do agree though that walker is a victim of change because he is so physical its great but at the same time he has no awareness of where the ball is. if he could just improve he would be a great back. i think we need to give credit to foxworth as well because i remeber a play where he was in the back field making a stop on the running back something that he hadnt done previously.

Domonique Foxworth (and the rest of the defense, for that matter) played so beautifully against New England, I almost wanted to cry. Foxworth was tackling harder than I've ever seen him tackle, and he was around the ball almost every play. Brady wanted to test him and Brady FAILED.

I know. I couldn't believe it. And actually...I did cry. Was a truly beautiful thing to witness! :)

They have really picked up their game the last couple of weeks. But it all starts with the line, our secondary is doing much better because we are not giving QB's time in the pocket and are making them force throws. If our D-line can get pressure on Manning our secondary should have a good game.

That hit by Walker as well, took me right out of my seat. Talk about laying the boom, that was a loud hit.

We evidently needs strong games from Carr and Walker again this week.

I must say, beyond this weekend and season even, we are going to have some real competition for spots developing at cornerback... who would have made that statement 3-4 weeks ago?!?! I won't lie, I condemned several of these players myself.

I thimk Foxworth and Webb should start, Washington will really have to bring it to regain his position in the lineup from these two. As for Carr and Walker, having them as fourth and fifth options would be excellent.

Obviously, Harbs saw something in Carr and Walker that the fans missed. We just need to have faith in our coaches that they will call the appropriate plays when we need them. Go Ravens

Ya one guy on here pointed that not too long ago, I got the Ravens 2000 super bowl run on dvd the full games and the way the game was played then Frank would arguably be a top 15 DB. However the rules are what they are now, and Frank played well last week and for whatever reason seems to figure it out in the playoffs. Lets hope Mattison keeps up the good play calling and scheming and giving our corners help so they can relax and just play the WR and make tackles.

Frank plays mediocre at best during the reg season but for some reason when the playoffs come round he is pretty decent.

Great point. I'v always believed Frank would've been a Hall of Famer had he played in the 70s.

Regardless, I'm glad he's stepped up because the team needs him to and the same goes for Carr.

Earlier in the season, I wanted Carr gone but now, I actually want the team to keep him for next season.

We were sitting at the bar with another 20+ Ravens fans, looking at each other saying: "Is this really happening?
Did the game already started or are we just having some dream game preview?" It was beautiful !!! I said, it looks like it might be a blowout, and sure enough, it was.
Our secondary was absolutely amazing.

Agreed. I might add, our secondary had absolutely amazing game, and Domonique Foxworth on top of the list with Ed Reed. And I never thought I say this, but I have to admit, Frank Walker, was outstanding!!? If he has couple more game like this, I might even start Frank Walker's Bandwagon party.

Walker always was physical and could tackle, but his performance earlier in the season always kept me wondering what would happen had anyone go down and he had to step up. Ive never wanted Carr gone but Walker still has a lot to prove

I can't believe we are talking about how good chris carr has been playing, he did give up BOTH tds last week I believe.
[/quote]

Brady had all day to throw the first TD so it's tough to blame Carr on that one. And Carr didn't exactly give up the second TD either.

Carr was covering Sam Aiken whiles Landry was on Edelman. Edelmam ran an out whiles Aiken ran a slant. Landry left Edelman and went to cover Aiken as Carr fell down trying to cover Aiken. Just Carr was getting up, Edelman caught the TD pass.
