Kc Hires Romeo Crennell As Defensive Coordinator

7 posts in this topic

I was just watching ESPN, and I saw on the ticker at the bottom that Kansas City has hired Romeo Crennell as their new Defensive Coordinator. Although I feel that he was a below average HC, his defenses have always been tough going back to his days with the Patriots.

I don't think that he's a defensive mastermind, but I think that it's a good move for KC.

It's startin' to look like an ex-Patriot reunion out there. It's gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out going forward. You have to wonder which players will want to go there and try to rebuild that franchise.

I'm actually legitimately intrigued by all this. If you asked me yesterday if I gave a damn about the Chiefs, I'd say no. But now that they've got a Patriots reunion going on, from the front office to the coaching staff to some of the players, I'm curious to see whether they can be competitive in the AFC West again.

Remember, even when they struggled over the years, the Chiefs always put on a competitive game against the rest of the division. Maybe we might see the Chargers get unseated as the class of that division over the next few years?

The Chiefs are going to have the heaviest coaching staff in the NFL.

But seriously, they are making some good moves to make the team better. Weis and Crennell are good choices IMO.

I really hope so, for some reason I have always had a certain dislike for San Diego
