Ravens Fans A Credit To Their Team

3 posts in this topic

As a long-time Patriots fan, I just wanted to offer my congratulations for the fine job that the Ravens did disassembling a middle-of-the-road Patriots team. The preparation, dedication, and sheer excellence of the Ravens was painful for us to watch, but Harbaugh and his guys did their homework, and deserved the win.

Further, I think you should know that there were a lot of Ravens fans there. While they were obviously very happy after the first minute and a half of the game, they were very respectful of the Patriots fans, and never once gloated. I've seen situations where our so-called fans have made it somewhat painful for the visiting fans -- after all, we've had plenty of chances to wave goodbye to them as they slink out of the stadium. Your fans were great -- very knowledgable about the game, and truly very delightful people.

Hopefully, we'll get the chance to beat the Ravens in some future playoff once again. And if we do, I'd be happy to see the fine Ravens fans join us once again in Section 338 at the Razor!

Many of your fans made the point of saying that we should come down for a game in Baltimore sometime. I've done that for a mid-summer Orioles game (not a Red Sox outing), and found the city to be a wonderful, fun place on a hot Tuesday night.

Good luck and best wishes as the Ravens continue their quest for their second Super Bowl title.

Very nicely said...I was there in section 324 and although I saw the odd fan on both side that needed to be reigned in a bit I found the Pats fans on a whole good sportsmen...I even got a very nice comment from a elderly man and woman that went out of their way to say they thought it was a good game and well played by the Ravens...best of luck in the off season and heres hoping the Orioles can one day return a better level of play to make games against the Sox more interesting!
