Didn't we beat a Tennessee Titans (#1) team that went 13-0 to start the season last year as the sixth seed? A team no one thought we could beat.

Here we are again, knocking on the door of the AFC Championship Game; going up against a team that started out 14-0 this season (a lot of those "W" were very close to being "L") and a team that only beat us by 2-points earlier this season? A team that has been rusting up over the last two-and-a-half weeks?

We need to ground and pound like last week until the Colts the stack the box, then we just have to hope the O-Line holds long enough for our receivers to get open.

Our defense made a great stand against these guys the last time around forcing 2 INTs and 1 FF (on the 1-yard line no less).

As for Special Teams, I think we're solid now that we've got Cundiff. Sure, he doesn't have the long-range Stover did but he has been a HUGE part of the team for the short time he's been with us.

PS: And this is to everyone that told me to worry about "one game at a time" last week... :lolpoof:

You should ask Tennessee fans how the Ravens won last year. Yes the Colts/Ravens final score was only 17-15 but Santi did fumble on the one yard line, the score could have been easily 24 -15 but thats old news. Colts defense also made a goal line stand in that game too. Thought I help you remember some other key stats in that game.

One sided stats. If you are going to bring up those "stats" bring up the other ones as well.

I was helping the OP with Colts stats since he/she was giving just Ravens stats in that game.

every team should be scared of playing against them ravens!!!!
the colts for most as our pass rush works great an sizzle is back on top!!! they have only manning and if he is taken out of the game (by gameplan) it is gonna be a tough one. and we also love to win on the road in the playoffs!!!

you mean how they outplayed us, but we still won... you mean exactly like the opposite of earlier in that same season where we outplayed them and they still won

the Colts/Ravens score could have been any # of different possibilities, but it was what it was 17-15

as far as anyone saying anything otherwise woulda shoulda coulda

this is a new week, new month, and a new season, and at this point what happened in the regular season except for injuries, really doesn't matter

yes the Colts hold a huge win streak over us, but your team has been on ice for quite some time, and they often do choke (not to smack talk) in the playoffs....

Yeah, just remove what you don't agree with. That's how it's done. I have no sympathy for Colts fans here. I love our football history, and I understand how everything went down. If I was on the Cleveland boards a few days before a game with so many implications, talking trash, I would expect the same from them. I'll keep it respectful, but he gets no love right now.

I don't understand that statement.... Stover's range diminished the past few years, in terms of Field Goal length. Cundiff's leg is much better than Stover's at this point, and most of his misses were due to terrible snaps by Katula.

Were you referring to Stover's longevity with the Franchise?

Colts have not played football in 2-3 weeks, and if we pounce on em early it'll show. and IF we win, guess what the national media will be talking about. The Ravens are great? Of course not! The only reason they won was because the Colts had too much rest and weren't in the flow! DUH!

Peyton and Co is 0-3 when resting for the playoffs.
I heard that statistics a few hours ago on the radio.

The rest will help their D get healthy but I don't feel they can stop the Ravens' rushing game the way the o-line is mauling right now. And the time off will likely affect the timing between Peyton and his receivers.

Fair enough. Here are some other factors to consider:

Since you brought up the "what if" factor.

"What if" Cundiff does not miss the late FG. Ravens win.

"What if" Flacco does not throw an INT with 2:48 to go when we are in FG range. Ravens win.

"What if" our offense had not been struggling to score TDs during that time and 3 of our 5 FGs are TDs. Ravens win big.

Once you play the "what if" factor, you can make a case for anything you'd like. Fact is there are good things to take away from our earlier meeting on both sides I would assume. As for the Ravens' side though, we KNOW we can hold the Colts to less than 20 pts. Always a good thing.

Yes, perhaps not the best wording.

I really believe that everything is playing into our hands. We are confident riding a 2 game winning streak while the Colts havent played their starters in 2 or 3 weeks. Not to mention they lost those last two games.

Jared and Michael will come with their A++ games....are Freeney and Mathis ready? Colts better hope so.
You better hope they do for Joe Flacco's sake. I'm pretty sure Mathis and Freeney are ready. They have been in plenty of these games before which is more than I can say for Jared and Michael.

the way i look at it is this. the colts are good and always good. but they can be beat. a lot of people are looking at the colts as unbeatable that we have no chance at winning. they are not the pats of 2007 by any means. i was more worried about the pats on sunday than i am about the colts. the colts are not the colts of 2006 when they won the superbowl. there run defense isnt that great. i am nervous but not as nervous as most people. the colts can light it up but not on any team and espically not this team. when we played the first time in week 11 we had no suggs. suggs can be a game changer. we cant play the colts the same because the pats and colts are 2 completly different offenses. these guys have beaten us the last 7 seven times. the ravens will come up with something. our defense has gotten stronger and better since the last time we played them. as for the colts they looked like they were falling apart. now they are coming off rust while benching there starters. i think by the time they shake off the rust it may be to late. if everybody thinks they will blow us out that means the colts are going to have to start very very hot. i just dont see that happening. it could happen i just done see it.

FYI...he Colt's were ranked last in 2006 against the run when they won the SB. How are the Colt's falling apart? They were 14-0 until the starters were pulled. Look at it anyway you want but they find ways to win games. They can blow out team and they can also come back from 17 points down in the 4th quarter to win (Pat's game). It will be a good game but to say the Colt's will be rusty and they are falling apart is a big mistake. Peyton and the boys will be ready!

You better just pray that the Ravens don't get down early. If Flacco has to throw the ball they are going to be in a world of hurt. I think it will be a good game but I just don't see Rice having the big game he did last week. Freeney and Mathis are both healthy and it will be a long night for Flacco if they fall behind.
Hmm both of them....combined for 0 Sacks last time. So I hope your boys do bring their A game.

i am not saying the colts suck because they dont. we are coming off a very emotional win in foxboro. i think it was a mistake resting your starters. you guys were the better team in week 11, but we could have won it. our defense is stronger from the last time we played. the ravens are hot right now very hot. if you guys didnt rest your starters i believe you would have gone unbeaten. then heading into the playoffs you guys would be more dangerous.
