I don't stand up for the SONG, either. I stand up because the American Flag is being presented. It's appropriate to stand when the flags are being marched onto the field.

That's a good point. Next time I'm at a game I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Although, the song isn't as bad as the 7th inning stretch at Camden Yards.

I stand out of respect to the colors that are also being marched on to the field at that time, even if they play the theme song to "Barney" I would stand out of respect for what our flag means.

Yes it is a bit cheesy, but I agree with what the song is saying and the respect for our troops.
