Why is he starting. Troy smith should have started or atleast given Flacco some healing time with a 24 point lead.

Joe Flacco is 3-1 (Dolphins, Titans, and Patriots) and (Steelers lost). You can hardly call the Patriots or Dolphins game a win by Flacco. He mad a clutch throw to Heap in the Titans game.

You can't build a temp when you complete 40% of your passes, two of which were dump offs to backs.

I don't understand why so many people are complaining about Joe's lack of passing in the Pats game. Some of you need to get your heads checked.

If Cam realizes he can run all over the Pats... then guess what, expect us to run the ball all game until they find a way to stop us. Joe is obviously injured and he was on the field to manage the game, not make the game. If Joe needs to rest up and our offense is running all over the Pats then let him spend the game handing the ball off and be done with it.

Joe was barely touched in the Pats game and he has 5 days to heal. Expect a big game against Indy. You WILL see Joe throwing the ball. I guarantee it.

You don't need to force throws when you have 3 pro-bowl running backs behind your quarterback.

My advice, save the Troy Smith BS, sit back, relax, and ENJOY it.

Amen. I will never understand the fascination some seem to have with Troy Smith. He has done next to nothing when he has come into the game this season.

Lol... a stealth 'start Troy' post. Joe threw the ball something like 40 more times the last time we played the Pats. He threw the ball about twice a quarter this time around. Is that difficult to see in the stat sheets?

Why not put Troy in? Do you really need an explanation? Because it would mess Joe's and other players' heads up... and because handing off is not a complicated task. Continuity... Confidence... "I want to be traded"... all good reasons to let Joe stay in on HIS team's victory over the Pats.

Haters even hate when we beat the Pats at their house in the playoffs... wow.

While Flacco didn't have a good game and wasn't asked to do much, a quick review of his game shows he made the plays when he had to do.

Three of his four completions were big first down conversions where Flacco made good enough throws. And of his six incompletions, two of them were clearly dropped.

Also, let's not forget the big run he had on third down which led to McGahee's touchdown that basically ended the game.

Flacco will obviously have to make more plays next week but honestly, if teams can't stop the Ravens from pounding the rock, I don't have any problem with Joe finishing games with less than 50 yards passing.

As I said in another post. Rest up Flacco for next week. Doing what we did against New England will open up the passing game next week.

I would be willing to bet that Indy will put 7-8+ in the box and go man to man on wideouts.

Let Ray Rice, Willis McGahee, and Le'Ron McClain have their moment.

Bottom line, Joe Flacco knows how to win in the playoffs (all on the road no less) and make plays when necessary, despite very few chances, and that's just fine with me.

Welcome to 60's style football. Yep!! The good old days. If ya pound the ball and they can't stop it. Why stop?? So some fantasy football nut takes a hit. Not my worry. For the stat sheet? Big deal. A win is a win. Joe got the job done! Couple of first downs and a good run not bad on a bum leg. I just can't under stand throwing him under the bus for a good read on a stat sheet!! I like the W better!! :baltimore-ravens:
