Pretty bad game for any QB. We won the game though.

He looked really bad today when he threw the ball. It felt like every time he went back there would be a turn-over or something bad. Just wanted to get your feeling going in to Indy. Indy has a fast Defense and our Offense is slow.

Every time we play them they shut our running game even last time we played Ray Rice only had 71 yards on 20 carries, 3.6 per rush his lowest average all season. I feel like the game will be on Joe's hands more.

Anyways my other concerns are the Deep balls Joe throws, it seems like he hangs it up there for hours, which makes it a Jump ball with a CB.

When he threw to Williams i thought he should have put a little Zip on it and lead him in to it. Well, thats just my opinion on his play. Feel free to input your opinions.

Indy's defense maybe fast, but it's not powerful. We are powerful on the O line, with McClain and Rice does his own version of power running. All Flacco needs to do is protect the ball. We can't have turnovers. That'll help us drastically.

Also, running the ball on a not-so-powerful defense enough will wear them down. That's what we need to do, along with SCORING and protecting the ball.

I understand what you're saying, but Cam went with what was working in the running game

we need to do it again in Indy, but we gotta mix and match the running game against them if they continuously shut it down.... play to our strengths not to their weaknesses, control the clock, limit penalties, get ahead early, and make them keep up with us, and if we have to throw, spread the ball

He didnt need to do anything, he was busy handing the ball off to our RB's. he did good. And made a KEY1st down at the end of the game with his feet.

Indy doesnt have any big bodies in the front 7 whatsoever and NE has about 4 or 5 depending on personnel. If we cant run the ball against Indy ill be disgusted. The key is to just sustain drives, force 8 and 9 man fronts and use PA WITH WILLIAMS**** key player there so even if he over throws we still have a chance. Plus DWill is the only guy who actually can outrun anybody.

Well when you only have 10 or so attempts. you don't really have a chance to develop a rhythm, but they didn't need him today.
Hopefully he gets a little healthier by next week, because we will need him to make some 3rd down conversions.

Well, I'm happy with the win. I'll say this, this game plan allowed Joe to not get hit..not even one time, at least not when dropping back for a pass. I think he can be reasonably healthy next week. I think the same game plan can work but we must have a few big plays ( that includes taking it away from Colts)

I remember last year when everyone said we would be able to run on them and the colts totally shut us out. We were competitive against them this year but they still kept our Running game average, so dont i think we should count on stuffing the ball like we did against NE cause every time we punt Colts will get atleast 3.

Joe can barely walk. Demetrius dropped a beautiful deep ball. He only threw it 10 times, maybe 11. He made plays when we needed them most. That's what counts.

Funny. Our Franchise QB and RB went to Delaware and Rutgers respectively. Pretty amazing talents.

In a way it was a blessing today. We didn't subject Flacco to big hits and sacks that could've possibly further injury his hip/leg.

If he is in the healing process, we didn't do much to regress any progress.

Get well, Joe. Your number might need to be called more next week.

I'm so tired of hearing these worries/complaints. Flacco is a sophomore QB with surprising poise and a great attitude. We all know he's a little banged up, but he makes plays when he needs to, without great wide receivers. A lot of the time when it seems like he's being indecisive or unsure, the receivers are in fact covered well.

How about Flacco's run and stretch to get that first down? And Williams got two hands on that long ball, so you can't put that on Flacco. That long reception would've boosted his QB rating, which was meaningless in a game like this.

Well we were running Leron McClain at them who isnt somebody that can make a big play, or make somebody miss like Rice can. I agree the stats cant be ignored, and really its too bad we cant take this game outside (Purock heres ur sweet dome theory coming into play) because I would be in total shock if the colts defense would even be able to move in the cold. But we cant move away from whats got us to where we are, you gotta go with what got ya there. Run the ball down their throats, play angry pissed off but in control.

Well put. We weren't going to stop dominating on the ground just to get Joe more throws. If he drops back between 20-25 times next week, that will be fine. I wanna see another 40 or so rushes though.

The ball was under thrown and too high. Rookie Flacco had one of the best deep balls in the league. Ray Rice had zero receptions. Ray Rice is one of the few receivers Flacco can get the ball to. We were able to beat the Pats with out using our strongest reciever.

1) Joe is hurt
2) Joe is only in his second year but has a 4-1 post season record(This is much better then most "elite" QB's like Peyton Manning who in the past has always struggled in the playoffs. Hopefully now that he has got the patriots off his back we can join the Chargers as a team to consistently kick them out of the post season(off topic but wanted to get it off my chest))
3) We ran for over 240+ yards on a team that generally only gives up 110.7 which is why we stayed with the run
4) You can't build a QB tempo when you throw the ball twice a quarter.

Alls ill say is this im very confident with Flacco as our QB... its hard to get a feel for the game when you throw the ball as little as he did... our Run game took care of NE along with a 3rd down completion to Mason [a timely one] and our Defense!!! Which has been the Ravens identity since i can remember Who says Ed Reed us injured??? i cant tell he still makes plays!!!! and Oh if you guys havent heard Ray Lewis is supposedly old??? thought id share that with you....

I have concerns with Indy's fast D - which probably could lead to more INTs (as they are, conceivably, getting to the ball quicker).

I hope they go with more quick completions, like the one on Mason. I dunno, I just hope they stick with more power style of running game as opposed to going outside too much.

Why is he starting. Troy smith should have started or atleast given Flacco some healing time with a 24 point lead.

Joe Flacco is 3-1 (Dolphins, Titans, and Patriots) and (Steelers lost). You can hardly call the Patriots or Dolphins game a win by Flacco. He mad a clutch throw to Heap in the Titans game.

You can't build a temp when you complete 40% of your passes, two of which were dump offs to backs.

i think joe did fine.
the only thing is i hope he doesnt throw to many ints.
also, on the deep balls he should put more zip, they always hang.
if he actually lead d-will on the long ball, it would have been a touchdown cause he had this man beat.

flacco didn't need to do much...i think it was a damn good play and heady of him when he scrambled for the first down that was a huge play that play allowed us to score the td that put the game out of reach...and plus the man is hobbled and he gutted that run out...they couldn't stop our run...why throw the ball when you got a qb who can't get any zip on his due to injury

Ugh, not one of those nuts who thinks we should undermine Flacco's confidence by starting Troy Smith.

10 passes is not enough to draw any conclusions. Are you assuming our receivers were open on all of them? Because I assure you, they weren't. I don't know what it's gonna take to convince some of you to believe in Flacco. Veterans have bad games all the time (like Tom Brady today). Carson Palmer didn't do well yesterday. Jets fans are happy with Mark Sanchez coming off a decent game, but we'll see how long that lasts. WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE JOE FLACCO.

Flacco threw a great deep ball to Williams that was dropped, a check down to Rice that was dropped. He threw one away on 3rd down instead of forcing it in the endzone. It's not all that bad. 2 or 3 passes sailed on him, but incase you didn't notice Brady was having the same problem at one point too.

Another thing, with a 24 point lead there was NO REASON AT ALL to start throwing the football around like crazy. You will always blame Flacco, but there were also no WR's getting open on most of the pass plays we DID attempt, and Flacco was hurried on a few others.

My advice, save the Troy Smith BS, sit back, relax, and ENJOY it.
