It looks like the playoffs are panning out to go in the favor of the wildcards. If anyone can beat the Colts it would a team with a strong running attack and stout defense..Ravens. If anyone can beat the Chargers it would be the leagues #1 defense the New York Jets and their running game. My question is who takes the W home in San Diego? New York or San Diego? If everything goes accordingly for us next week, id love to see our boys stand face to face with Rex Ryan and our former team on defense, its more personal than anything. Just IMO

Chargers are going to boot out New York, or at least I'm hoping. I'm tired of Rex Ryan already, and I do not want to hear him run his mouth about playing us in the AFC Championship round, if it came to that.

I think this game is closer than most of us think it will be, the Jets secondary can be a huge part of this outcome if they are healthy and ready to play. San Diego doesnt have the pass-rush to overcome NYJ's massive O-Line and i think the Jets can control the clock and keep Rivers off the field..

I'm right there with ya...I said this in another thread somewhere but I DO NOT want to hear comparisons between last year's Ravens/Flacco/Harbaugh and this year's Jets/Sanchez/Ryan.....NONONONONO

I don't see the Chargers losing at home.

Chargers. The Jets haven't really beaten a good QB this year. Manning didn't play and Brady has been exceptionally inconsistent. Rivers is the hot hand and I think they're going to take this game to the air and out-gun Sanchez and Co.

If the Ravens win, I want the Jets. If we lose, I want the Chargers.

agreed

so what if we have to listen to the talk... talk is cheap... plus with Ryan talking, don't you think it would elevate our game play... especially the D's?

I really don't like our match up if we have to play 6'5 WR's with our 2nd 4th and 5th CB's granted they did phenomenal today... we match up better with the Jets then the Chargers

Definately! Mark my words, the Jets have what it takes to take out the Chargers, and we match up stylistically with the Jets. The Jets have difficulty with teams with an awesome pass-rush. And i dont see their defense being able to stop their run game which will control the clock. But if they win, we got what it takes to take them out..

i am definately not sleeping on the Jets. whether you cats want to admit it or not...Rex got those Jets primed for a run at the AFC Championship game! sure...he runs his mouth alot but lets not forget....he was our man and had our defense blasting teams often and on the regular.

now...having said that.....i believe that the Chargers will not let this opportunity slip by them and they will get the win. i also firmly believe that they pray that the Ravens knock out the Colts so that they don't have to face Peyton Manning and the Colts who have had their number.

Rex has that team pumped up and they did play an effecient game against the Bengals. The Chargers are a hot team on a roll, and I think the Jet's are a year or so away from matching up with a team of San Diego's caliber. Reavis can't cover everyone, and Sproles can hurt you in alot of ways.

The Chargers can't run it so they'll have to pass it and when Revis has Jackson covered who's he going to throw it to?

Rex has them all flyin high off his confidence in them and i can see them pulling it out..I do think they match up quite well and as long as Sanchez limits his mistakes which he has recently then they can win

If the Jets can't defeat the Chargers don't expect the Ravens to. Like I said in another thread the Jets are exactly the same as the Ravens with a slightly better defense statistically. Should the Ravens face the chargers we would need to use the patriots game plan to keep Rivers and the monstrosities off the playing field.

i would love to see the ravens vs jets. cause there is no way we should lose to the jets. they have the number one rushing attack. but we have the BEST rushing attack in the playoff. our number two running back can start on all the other playoff teams besides the vikings.
if we face the jets it will pretty much come down to who can stop the others running game.

Since we are no longer a contender. Im going to go for the underdogs in this game. As much as Rex talks, nobody thinks his team deserves to be in the playoffs, so they have nothing to lose. They showed they can play though. The beat a Bengals team twice that we couldnt beat on 2 Occasions and they did it very convincingly. Do I think they will beat the Bolts? Not Really, but hey anything can happen in the NFL.

I personally want to see a Brees vs. Rivers Superbowl!!!!!

good lord I hope the chargers just annihilate the Jets. I cant take any more comparisons between the ravens and jets. And if ryan/sanchez can match flacco/harbs mark of two playoff wins we'll never hear the end of it...

Looks like Jackson was stranded on Revis island....
