like i said....with the actual Draft being at least 138 days away.......they are still gathering information about each of hte draft prospects and i think they arent really paying attention to the order they have the Teams in at this point in time....when it comes to about under a month or so until the actual draft...you'll see the order right itself and you'll see the other draft aspects on the board (2nd and 3rd rounds)

amen to that!....After seeing what Troy has just done and watching him play in a REAL game type situation here.....i think the Ravens Coaches and Staff are ALL pleased with what they saw in Troy Smith.....which basically can could be summed up in one word...playmaker....he's constantly moving, constantly looking down field even on the move, he's still looking for that open man to throw it to.....that first pass attempt was JUST off teh fingertips of Figurs whom (if he has running a littel faster or something like that) would have caught the pass for a TD..and what a reaction that would have gotten...one can only imagine

i think we have to go defense in the 1st round and i dont think we need a wide receiver....where are we gonna fit him into our offense if we already have mason, williams, and clayton...and darling can also make plays

i personally think they'll/we'll go defensively. with this years draft (for the most part anyway)....Troy really showed his progress and what he has learned and what he can do when given the chance..this motion will only spark excitement around hte Ravens Community for whats lying ahead for Troy and this Team as a whole......all i can say is....nothing but...Good things are to come :);)

here's my take:

1. CB or LB

2. DL or OL

i think we do need to draft in the very least a few defensive players because we need the younger, more athletic types of players in there with fresh looks and fresh legs and energy that can only be "molded" (so to speak) into the way the Ravens want the player(s) to be playing

I see a good amount of people wanting a QB but I believe you still need others arond the QB to be a good NFL team. Trade T. Heap for either draft picks or surplus of decent players OL or maybe CB. Heap hasn't played whole season yet and is hurting the team sitting on the bench. He is overrated and can't stay healthy for a season. My opinion..

The draft order looks to be based on teams records as they stand now. Probably did their own coin flipping to teams with the same record and strength of schedule.

Yeah I wouldn't think the Ravens would invest in a first round QB this year. There will be top QBs available every year, and even though it's a need, it's not top priority. I would think they'd take someone like Sam Baker over a QB.

Yanda, Gaither, Grubbs... reasons why we don't need offensive lineman atm but should draft a cornerback, which is what i think ozzie will recommend this year

which is the main reason's why i would think that we would focus more so on the defensive side of the football this go around.

yea as can be seen through the many games we have played without rolle and c-mac this year our secondary is a lacking in depth

and depth would be something i would think Ozzie and his staff will take Significant time in looking at and reveiwing, not just once but many many times over, to make sure they are in fact making the best possible choice. Depth is an issue that will be assessed on this upcoming off-season and looked upon as a major issue.

The reason Raven players play with such passion is because we value all players. That's why AD obviously didn't get the memo.

I agree, but Oz should concentrate on a CB or two, and an honest-to-goodness, hot-shot, playmaking WR.

Apart from one, all the defensive linemen were described as 'Impact' Linemen. Personally, I'd Take a kelly gregg ahead of any of those 'Impact' rushers.

Also,in reference to our draft pick, I dont think we should take a corner in the first round. We would be tremendously unfortunate to have two Injury-ravaged seasons at the same position, so I think in the first place we should be drafting is D line. Trevor Pryce is getting old, and we have few quality replacements at end, with dwan edwards being the only one of note. I think a corner should come in round three or four. I dont think we should be taking a quarter back, atleast not on the first day. We have enough 'projects' on the go as it is. I think we should start thinking about a replacement for Ed Reed, I know it's Probably a good few years before his play drops off, If we get In a guy now with a later pick, and groom him then It should cushion the blow for when Ed decides to call it quits or loses a few steps, And we only have 1 guy covering both safety spots, and thats just asking for trouble...

CB is a given.

I would then look for either an OL or another TE either Wilcox or Heap gotta go and I'm thinkin Heap right now because Wilcox is steppin up and risking further injury just to help win a game.

3rd round go for a playmaking tall WR

4th go for another DB of some kind.

We will most likely get a 5th a 6th pick too so I would use this fo a Linmen on either side and a LB.

We will not draft a QB this year because we drafted Troy last year and signed Finnerty a few days ago, but then again with the luck we have scouting QB's it couldn't hurt to have 5 of them to choose from.

i agree.......Trading Heap????????? i think teh City of Baltimore would upstage a Riot and the Police would Help! if that were to happen...Trade Heap....you MUST be joking....

as for the Mock Draft rankings and current players right now.........This is Only temporary and the Draft is many months away......i was on this web site last year and when the Draft is almost here......you can see the Team order fall into place and The Players will be switched around ALOT....until draft day.so basically that QB we hav right now....wont be there in a few months time....the site changes who each team wants like crazy...you just have to wait until the time is nearly upon us and find out.

Has he played a whole season yet? (T. Heap) Great TE but always gets hurt every year. Injuries are part of the game but if you can't count on a guy get something in return for him. Just my opinion.

yes he's played a few seasons....but keep in mind that he also plays a vital/key role in the Development/mentorship of the younger Players like Quinn and the other Tight Ends.

Other Tight ends? It's Quinn and Wilcox - I'm a big Heap supporter and M&T would never be the same without being able to yell HEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAP!!! But if he is injured 3/4 of the season than he isn't of any help to us. Offense needs rythym and you can only get that through reps, Heap is just a raw talent which is why he can make plays but he is taking up a large chunk of money we could be spending on another TE who can play every game. I think we should have 4 TE's on the roster each game because I think we can really utilize Mcgahee if Linebackers are constantly preoccupied between covering him and multiple TE's using our twin TE an triple TE formations.
