I honestly, Wouldn't be surprised if we go into Indy, and win. Im that confident in this team right now.
I would not be surprised either. It just would not surprise me if Peyton throws all over us, either.

This reminds me of our divisional game last year. Where we had to go into Tennessee to face the #1 seed, the Titans.

Nobody gave us any chance. We were leading the league with players on IR, we were playing off fumes w/ not having a bye. The Titans were the last unbeaten team in the league and had the best overall record.

We went into Tennessee an eked out a win in a physical, hostile environment.

It's almost the exact same script. Except this year it's in a dome.
True, but dome teams and their pesky surfaces tend to favour home teams. It's the reason that whole "home field advantage" thing is so skewed.

Not to mention Peyton/his O-Line > any Titans QB.

Remember what peyton and Receiving Co did when Miami beet up our D with the Wildcat and run, went on often 1-minute or less scoring drives to to win it, and think our run D is weak aye remember when we played you guys we lasted 3 downs on the goal line forceing you to a feild goal thats a tough D this will be a hard fight

I fear Flacco going back in | 4-10 (40%) for 34 yards 1 INT | 0 TDs scares me.

Will the run and defense be able to cover Flaccos inability to deliver the ball and the wide outs ability to recieve it. Demetrius Williams had a nice route down the middle. The ball was ill placed. He is the only reciever (minus double team Mason) that can relieve Flacco.
WHAT? NO. Williams DROPPED that football. It was right in his hands. That was Williams' fault. Meanwhile Flacco kept overthrowing Clayton, and Clayton went way up and snatched it out of the air. Williams isn't going to "relieve" anyone, he's inconsistent, and no better than any of our other WRs. What a load.

Agree with Flacco being a problem, but disagree with your reasoning.

haha i am really not surprised...but i am actually happy that we are. Thats what fuels us, let us be the underdogs..that gives us a reason to play our hearts out and show them what it means to be a RAVEN. and i have to commend Frank Walker on his playing today...ive posted mean things about his play this year...but he actually made me smile today...dont f%^k it up frankie boy.. :batteur-musicien:

But the colts game will definetly be a tough game, i just hope its a close one like the 06' game or the one earlier this year, and the 02' game. I am still overjoyed and in bliss over watching cry baby brady get %^#$ed up all day..it was beautiful. we were ON FIRE!! keep it up boys. GO :argdancingravensblueonbvx4: !!!!!!

On defense, the Ravens are going to have to avoid giving up the big play. We're better off with the Irsays in the red zone where we've shown over the years we can limit them to field goals than we are with Manning taking deep shots. The pass rush is going to be critical, since that's the first line of defense against a big play offense. Limit the QB's time to make reads and wait for the deep routes to uncover and the big play threat goes way down.

On offense, we need to keep pounding the rock.

The Colts have looked so beatable all season. They've just been good enough to squeak by, which is nothing to frown upon, but they've kind of had the opposite of us: where we have lost our close games, they have managed to win. If we play our brand of football, we win. A win or a loss would not surprise me either way.

And to the dude who said the Colts have so many weapons we wouldn't believe it: We know who you have, his name is Peyton Manning, and the others around him are by products of his outstanding play. Wayne, and Clark are dangerous but we've seen them before and last I recall we held them to 17 points, enough to squeak out that win, but nothing to write home about.

You guys saw a lot more Tom Santi at TE than Dallas Clark last time...which was really odd. You won't see Santi this time as he is on IR. Jacob Tamme will be the other TE. He is a tad better than Santi. I don't expect Dallas to be shut down the way he was lasttime though.

As for Reggie, yes he does benefit greatly from Manning (as any receiver does), but Manning also benefits from Reggie's top notch hands/ route running and instincts. Reggie would be a #1 on almost any team.

I honestly think we can beat anyone right now, with the way our running game is succeeding, and the way our secondary has stepped it up. We still have the same issues though: inconsistent QB/WR play, and a lack of discipline. We seemed to have maintained our focus against the Pats, but we also had a very conservative referee crew in that game. I fear going against Indy, things might get heated and we could see our chances to win thrown away by bad mental mistakes.

Our best chance of winning is to punch them in the mouth right out of the gate like we did against the Patriots, getting an early lead so everyone stays cool.

I guess all you Indy fans who feel the need to come on our board and post your crap feel like you're doing "your team" some kind of favor (course it'll never be your team cause it's all about the owners and their money so keep spending yours on them...haha..we learned that a long time ago...sorry bout your loyalty)but....it won't help you. Next weekend it will come down to WHO WANTS IT MORE....WHO IS WILLING TO PUT THEMSELVES OUT THERE AND DO IT! We ... shall ... see! Go get 'em Ravens!

I'm out here in eastern NC...all by my little self...bleeding purple! My RAVENS rocked the house! I'm looking forward to watching them take the town leaving...no fan loyalty (as shown in week 15).....(still) Ersay owned...creepy COLTS to the woodshed next weekend! Karma is a mutha and here she comes....by way of the RAVENS! Your cushy season is OVER Indy! We got your number! GO RAVENS.....THE RAYS ARE COMIN' FOR YOU!!!!!!!
No fan loyalty huh? I think you are in for a surprise if you come here. The Colts played and defeated Jacksonville in week 15. I was hoping you could enlighten me to what happened then to question outr loyalty.

As for the "we got your number" thing...I think all seven matchups since 2002 would say otherwise.

when you say the Rays are coming, are you referring to Lewis and Rice? I love those guys. Lewis is the leader every team would love to have on their defense. It is amazing what he can still do. As for Ray Rice, I am a big Rutgers fan. I almost went to school ther. Most of my friends/ family did so I still pull for them.

Dont forget the stiff arm throwing Garcon and Auston collie who have both had 800+ receiving yard seasons
sooooo what dude? the Ravens aren't fearing the Colts!

the patriots were undefeated at home this season 8-0 and they hadn't lost a playoff game at home since the 70's...until... THE RAVENS CAME TO TOWN TODAY!!

you act like the Colts are all of that. smh! please! they only beat the Ravens by 2 pts their last meeting and that was due to what the Ravens "didn't" do more than what the Colts "did." Ray Lewis and company are coming for you Peyton!

now...you can "QOUTE THE RAVEN" on that!

It is most certainly OUR team now. We didn't steal them, they just came here. What were we going to say, No? Now before you get too preachy, another franchise left its' town to give you a new team. I know, I know...Colors, team namem, etc.
It was a long long time ago. It's time to let it rest. I can't even imagine how painful it would be if my beloved Colts left, but time heals all things. Getting a new and instantly successful franchise should help to heal things also. You have that.

I feel like you all should appreciate what you have and let the past be the past. It's like talking about and ex-girlfriend all of the time when you a new one that is great. It doesn't help to dwell on the past, but I'm sure it helps to get you pumped up for these matchups

The defense has to use tricky packages against Peyton, he is to good and has saw these schemes already this season, they gotta change it up and give him different looks and throw his tempo off just like Brady. If we contain Peyton, Ray Rice and Willis McGahee have steller rushing performances again, and the penalties are to a minimum, the Ravens will be going to there 2nd straight AFC Title Game. The Purple & Black Attack is back, and ready for some Super Bowl Glory!

I think we should be a bit more civil to a person that doesn't come and trash (at least I don't think it is) our boards like the Patsie fans.

I'll give you that. the Colts only won by 2 and luck seemed to be on their side too.
But that was in Baltimore. What was the score in Lucas Oil Stadium last year? Something like 31-3, I don't remember it exactly

word. Anyone else think our blocking was absolutely ridiculous?
It was crazy. The line has seemed to gel into a top 5 o-line group in the league. Gaither and Grubbs on the left, Oher and Yanda on the right, and Matt Birk anchor the center position, it is a good sign for the Purple & Black Attack.

Agreed - well for rushing at least anyway. Though they're not too bad on pass protection as the K. Vincent/Mulitalo days.

Definitely more depth and less one-dimensional.

Exactly, nothing to special, just guys that know how to block for Joe-Cool and makes holes for Ray and Willis to run through, all you ask for out of your offensive line.

Against a rookie QB in his fourth start? and all the turmoil of the botched bye? Things are a bit different now.

I love your take on that first statement.
To answer you question, I come on here for two reasons. 1.), I get very bored on my own teams boards, because everybody agrees on most things. I like to get outside perspective and learn things I may not have known about your team/fanbase and to have some witty good spirited banter. 2.) I like to provide oppostion view and perspectives to any willing readers.

My payment for time spent on your board is the thread I created to offer anybody traveling to Indy info so they can enjoy themselves to the fullest.

i respect your perspective on frequenting other boards. and thanks for helping out my fellow Ravens fans with info for their Indy trip.

personally though...i NEVER go to any other teams sites...my thinking is..."for what?" but that is just me! however...i have noticed that we Ravens fans get TONS of fans for other teams coming here to our boards for some odd reason. B)

Youll have to remind me about the botched bye. I didn't remember that one.
I like Flaco and he is much more experienced, but didn't he have a 10 passer rating today? He will be facing a much more formidable pass rush this week against Freeny and Mathis (both Probowlers)

Another change from last year is all of our rookies that have been majorly contributing.

WR Austin Collie
CB Jerraud Powers
CB Jacob Lacey
RB Donald Brown
P/KO Pat McAfee
G Kyle DeVan

This has been an impressive group of young bucks that has matured tremendously this season.
