Are they definitely going to Owings Mills? There are pictures on the Ravens website of them arriving (to go to NE) in a parking lot next to the plane. It makes it look like they drove themselves directly to the airport.

Yea it was pretty awesome at the end of the game. You see Harbs running along the field slapping all the Ravens fans hands with a giant smile on his face. Harbs was loving life.

Now only if we can get him to work on his challenges.

Those calls come from up top, especially when the play happens on the other side of the field.

Yep, last week was a bust, now this week will be too. Looks like we'll have to plan a rolling roadblock next Saturday night when they come in from Indy with a big W!!!

Note to Ravens team execs: allow a meet & greet to happen next week!

Do NOT go out to greet the Ravens tonight. They will not be available to fans. See this pinned thread.

Apparently they drove to the airport--it easier if there is bad weather because the streets by the Castle are horrible in icy weather.

This is some ****.

We waited at the mall for like six hours AFTER the Ravens lost to Pittsburgh last year, and still didn't get to see the team, and now they're barring us from this one, too.

Duffy or anyone else who is reading, there are thousands of fans who want to show up and welcome the team home. . .

Agreed!
There were a number of fans there on that cold night, wanting to express our appreciation to the team and staff.

For those of us who can't travel to the playoff games, please give us the chance to show our love!

(Or give us "flock"sters our own meet and greet. ;) )

I e-mailed the webmaster and they are going to bring it up tomorrow--apparently they changed the way they do things this year with everyone meeting at BWI instead of the complex. TSA makes the airport rules, not the Ravens, and in light of the Christmas attempt it is very difficult to get through if you don't have a ticket.

Hey guys I was there, it was awesome anyway with all the fans. I was never so proud of our fan base, I was so afraid no one would show up.

maybe tomorrow when it is brought up they could suggest that we greet them on the lower level of the international pier (where the soldiers get greeted when they return home . on the public side of the TSA posts. I spoke to my friend who works over there and she was under the impression that they would still come out that way and the fans could line up near there. It doesn't interfere with TSA or any of the secure parts of the airport.

I think that during this up and down season, the fans have "flamed one raven after another and then the coaches too." My sense is that the Ravens are in no mood to be "back-slapped" by the fans. This team has locked arms around the PLAYERS ONLY.

Remember, they said they play for each other and NOT THE FANS. After all, the media has to force the league to make players available for interviews. The TV dollars are too much to ignor. Maybe the league should force the players to acknowledge the fans too in recognition to gate revenues, PSL's and concessions.

Most "Madden-Era" players are elitist atheletes and they are not accustomed to being criticized, so I guess I can respect that.

without the fans...the players don't have a job! of course we went off on nearly every player for playing like garbage. and we praised the players who did and are doing well. why? WE ARE FANS! THAT IS WHAT WE DO! i think that the Baltimore Ravens organization understands their "fan-base."

You must not be listening when the players repeatedly say that they play ONLY for THE PLAYERS and NOT THE FANS.

The Ravens are extremely fan friendly just because they changed their procedure' s does not mean they are against the fans.

The changing of their procedures reflects SOMETHING though. And I don't buy the notion that it reflects fan friendliness. Especially when th eplayers go out of their way to state that they don't play for the fans. As I said, the league has to force them as it is, to do media interviews.

The procedural change is troubling to me.
