it seems like the entire sports media world are [b]"OVER-LOOKING"[/b] and [b]"LOOKING-PAST" [/b]the Ravens in their game against the Patriots...and the game hasn't even been played yet! smh!

Bob Costas just did a little piece (during halftime in the Cowboys game) on who the Jets would play...here are his words....[b]"if the Ravens lose!"[/b][i][/i] what? how come no one is saying [b]"if the Ravens win they will face the Colts?"[/b] smh!

our Ravens ought to be jacked up for this game on Sunday!

No worries. When all the so-called experts, analysts and announcers write us off, we play our best football. They all picked us to lose every single playoff game in our last SB run. Who cares what they say? We will give our answer on the field tomorrow.

We obviously aren't favored in tomorrow's game. So far all the favorites won, hopefully tomorrow at 1 we will host the first underdog victory of the post-season over the Patriots.

Getting media hype was not the point. It was the way they pretty much said that the Jets are off to face the Colts. Like the Ravens' had already lost.

Probably didn't realize that the Jets might not play the Colts depending on the outcome of Sunday. I didn't think anything of it.

I'm pretty sure he said that to bring up the irony of Cincy and Indy both laying down so that the Jets would have an easy road in, only to be beaten by that very same team. If I wasn't a Ravens fan, I would find that series of events to be hilarious.

No, I think pretty much everyone is fine not getting bogged down with all the media hype. It just is their attitude that we are wasting our time even making the trip to New England for the game like we have no shot at winning this game. Especially when one considers the earlier meeting between these two teams and how close it was.

Actually later on it was said they could face the Chargers in the "unlikely" event that the Ravens beat the Patriots.

I was watching that and I think you failed to notice the context completely. The point was that the Jets were only in the playoffs in the first place because they pulled the "upset" and beat the Colts in week 16, and then "IF the Ravens lose to New England, they'll go on to play the Colts again"

That's just an analyst making a story out of something that could "potentially" happen, like when at the end of Week 16, all the analysts were talking about how three of the four wild card games could "potentially" be repeats of games from Week 17. I mean 1) The Pats have the better record, are at home, and they already beat us once this year, so yes, we are the underdogs, and 2) Don't be so paranoid.
