That's More Like It

Once again, absolutely nobody on ESPN.com has picked us to beat the Colts.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/features/talent

However, I just checked the Madden Simulation, which has us winning 28-24. With Kyle Boller throwing for 223 yds 3 TDs 0 INTs and McGahee rushing 30 times for 185 yds and 1 TD.

The same as every week..

Nobody thought that the Pats game would be that close. Remember the experts`predictions against the pats: 6-30 ; 3-27...

They gonna get the answer sunday night

Hey Ravens, I pray to the Gods in heaven you LAY a BEATING on the COLTS. I am a Pats fan so obviously I was happy with the outcome of last weeks game even though I was scared the whole time I watched it! Ravens played better than ANY OTHER team out there vs the Pats. Congrats!

Now, if you play the way you did vs the Pats against the Colts, YOU WILL CRUSH THEM!

That is all I want for Christmass this year....

Ravens 31 Colts 12

Thank you for the compliment and the courtesy you have shown. and yes i agree, IF we can maintain the same intensity, teh same level of competitiveness and the same "spark" we showed against You Guys.....we have MORE than enough to win teh game...and personally i feel Boller will have a Good Game, passing for over 225 yards, and at LEAST 1 TD, while the Blocking will hold fast and provide McGahee with some Good Holes and gaps to run/bust through.....i feel he will break the 100 yard mark again..rushing for at least 115 yards and a Touchdown. i would also expect McGahee to Show his speed, and athletism and elusiveness by using that powerful stiff arm of his and break more than a Few in this game.

I hope the Ravens play great. You know the difference last week was our turnovers. If we can stay away from them we have a great chance at winning.

that....AND us having the same energy, same intenisty and same will to win and give it our all....we stand a very good chance....we must break this streak of losses...and what better way and do it against our Former team and Now Heated Rivalry in the Colts. i think we stand a very good chance at winning this one. after all...last week everyone was counting us out even before the game had started...then look at what happened...a win yes but it came down to the wire...single digits even.

Notice how close the game was when the Ravens actually EXECUTED against the Pats?

And what was that phrase I kept pointing to again that the Ravens' success all season had been riding on?

Oh, wait, that's right. Execution.

Stay away from the turnovers, and execute the plays properly (includes DISCIPLINE), and that's already 90% of the battle. The other 10% is luck and the will to win.

And with the intensity of last week's game, I'm sure the will to win is still there, despite having almost nothing left to play for this season.

Who cares about ESPN. My prediction is the Ravens will win this game. I think Billick finally realized that pounding the ball with McGahee will help out their defense and rest them. Ravens offense will keep Manning off the field. It would help if Marvin didn't play though.

i think that he we just play Smart Raveb Style Football...we have a VERY good chance....i feel that McGahee will have a Pretty decent game for himself, seeing as how the Colts Defense will in fact, be seeing a heavy dose of him running the ball.....while Boller maintains his positive Play and Keeps moving forward and completing those passes for First downs.

(check my other post i made in the Ravens vs Colts Game thread to see the stats i think Boller and McGahee might get. or will be in the general area of reaching).

I hope that Brian keeps this style of play, because its where the ravens do their best...and he'd better keep it like this or hes outta here. And youre right, the Ravens' offense, under proper execution of the OL, will keep manning off the field, and considering that Freeney might not play that game.

i honestly dont think its a matter of Billick keeping this style of play....just a matter on whether or not our players can continue to play with such intensity and all that. as they showed everyone last week, is all.

I think the Colts whole game plan is gonna be to stop the Ravens run game and make Boller beat them. They will stack 8 in the box in an attempt to do so. If the Colts can contain the run game then I don't think the Ravens pass game does enough to win this one. I'll say Colts 23-13.

You can play with as much intensity as you want, but having a bad gameplan (i.e. gameplanning for the Pats running game where their strength is the passing game) and having bad playcalls (i.e. Constantly trying to pass the ball when the opponents' coverage is 2-deep or something) will never lead you to success. I mean having intensity works, but without proper gameplanning and playcalling? I mean thas the basis of the game. Having more intensity as a team then youre opponent is a key factor when youre facing a team of youre caliber, in our case, the elite teams. We had proper gameplanning and playcalling, which gave us an edge, and the intensity we had gave the team the extra "push" or step we need in order to defeat great teams.

i totally agree with you on that....but i must say that with the added intensity and execution, like Franchise said, makes a for a better all-around atmosphere and players "know" what to do and when....

True, true...they get adrenaline, and they have a better reaction time for things with that added intensity...I mean for the Ravens it is in fact one of the key things that we posses.

true......plus i think that we have a Highly motivated team heading into this upcoming game against the Colts.....so i would epxect the level of intensity to not faulter......both units on the field (offense and defense) will play very well and hopefully we can come away with the Win.
