Flacco 2008 Vs 2009

Ok, So I have been reading stuff on NFL.com and some other sites about this weeks game, and almost everywhere I turn I run into media or Patriots fans claiming that Flacco isn't as good this season as he was last year.

I beg to differ.

Here are the numbers to back it up

Flacco's 2008 Stats

257 of 428 60.0 completion pctg,158.8 ypg, 2,971 yds, 14TD's 12 int's

VS

Flacco's 2009 Stats

315 of 499, 63.1 completion pctg,225.8 ypg,3,613 yds, 21TD's 12 int's


How has he not improved? I'm not saying that there isn't room for improvement, but passing for over 3,500 yds, over 20 TD's, higher completetion percentage given that he had more pass attempts while throwing only 12 int's (the same as last year) isn't exactly a "sophmore slump"
