Wilbert Montgomery
what does he do ?
He is our running backs coach and three years in a row he has sent a Raven runningback to the pro bowl.

Workhorse of the Year: Le'ron McClain

Dude has worked hard, and always puts forth his best effort in practice and games.

Sam Koch is very much deserving but I would give the Special Teams Player of the Year award to Prescott Burgess. He seems to be in on every tackle on kick-off coverage.

Nice post. Only one I kinda disgree with is Clayton for biggest disappointment. Since he was drafted, I will say yes but this year I don't think the majority was expecting a breakout year. I would say suggs even though I will defend him as being doubled teamed a lot this year and due to injuries. Foxworth runner-up due to contract.

Most Regrettable Miscue:
I've got this one in a 3 way

Steve Hauschka missed FG for game winner in Minnesota
Mark Clayton First Down drop on 4th down
Derrick Mason dropped TD pass wide open in the end zone

Lets not forget Tood Heap for comeback player of the year.

The dude fought through a bunch of injurys.

I'd add best stiff arm to : Willis McGahee

Most talked about player to return: Matt Stover

How is Suggs not also the biggest disappointment? We give him all that money and he has a flop of a season.

In order for Clayton to have disappointed, people would had to have high expectations in the first place.

Also, while Flacco has improved slightly, it's only slightly. I'd definitely say Ray Rice has improved the most. Went from the 3rd option last year to having over 2,000 yards from scrimmage this year.

Edit: Agree with Heap being the comeback player. Offensive line has played poorly, don't see how Yanda deserves it.

Something that was dissapointing was the way we used L.J. Smith. Coming into the season I was thinking he was going to be used way more than he was, granted hes been banged up I have seen him playing special teams and blocking but rarely running routes....why? If im not mistaken he has caught all 2 passes thrown to him and got some good yards. Maybe we are saving him for the playoffs.

I think the comeback player award should go to Dawan Landry. They weren't sure if he was ever going to come back, and he's playing at a high level. He can't really cover man to man, but he is a solid run defender and a good playmaker when not forced to cover man to man. I also think that Suggs was the biggest disappointment; I didn't really expect anything from Mark Clayton. Finally, if not for his injury, I'd say Webb is the defensive rookie of the year; when he was in the lineup, the Ravens could actually defend the pass. Man, I miss him.

I agree that Todd Heap deserves the Comeback Player of the Year award.

Team Spirit Award: Willis McGahee Dropped to back-up back, never complains, and still Plays Like a Raven when he's in.

Thickest Skinned: Frank Walker Now they might not read the boards but you know the man has an idea what is said about him. He never fires back. Unlike a certain Steeler player this year.

Too bad right now we aren't giving the comeback player of the year award to Samari Rolle. That would be a godsend.

I'd give DPoY to Jarrett. Just so many plays this year from a guy that's typically not a playmaker and still isn't viewed by one. Love him.

i would say hauschka was more of a dissapointment than clayton. he missed a 30 yarder that would win a game, in a dome!!! wowzers!

Yeah we could have used Rolle this season. Even if it turned out to be his last one. Reports are his career is done. I hope the Ravens take it all the way anyway, but would be nice for Rolle to get that ring this year if it turns out he is finished playing.

Top Play of the year is between:
-Ray Lewis' stuff of Sproles on 4th in SD
-Willis Mcgahee Stiff arm in Oakland
-Derrick Mason Long TD vs Det
Tough one. I gotta say Lewis though. That right there was the difference of us going 8-8 and 9-7. As much as Mason's TD was legit and the hit looked crucial, there really cant be a top play if its against detroit lol

love mcgahees pimp slap too
