Cam Cameron

40 posts in this topic

There are several reports that Cam Cameron might be a candidate for the head coaching position for the Buffalo Bills.

I feel that Cam Cameron has done a good job here, but I have disagreed with him a lot at times. If Cam was to become a head coach again, I dont think it will be as big a deal as when Rex left for the Jets. I just think it wont be a huge deal if he left to become a head coach.

What do you all think? Would you really care if Cam left to become a head coach?

I'd rather have him stay here. Before we had him we had no offense... now I actually get excited watching the offense play. People might complain about some calls that he makes, but at his lowest we still get the best offense we've ever seen.

I don't want Cam to leave. Continuity is an undervalued thing in the NFL. I'd much rather Flacco and the rest of the offense get used to his system than have to adapt to someone else's.

It would set Joe and the offense back forsure. As much as I question Cam at times continuity is what breeds success, taking a whole year to learn a new system for Joe and Ray Rice would be tough. Next year is when I fully expect Rice and Flacco to light it up. Even though its unfair Buffalo should be taken back by the fact that Cam was a HC in Miami 2 years ago on one of the worst teams of all time.

I agree with you, as much as Cam makes me scratch my head at times, I dont want to see our offense set back at all. But it wouldn't break my heart to see him leave.

I hope that the Bills remember what happened in Miami.

Our defense was shattered during the first weeks with a new coordinator. If the strongest part of our team can crumble that easily, just imagine what would happen to our fragile young offense.

Bills would be idiotic to go after Cam. He is a questionable Offensive Coordinator and do they not remember 2007 when he took division rivals Miami Dolphins to a 1-15 season.....

If I were the Bills I would try to avoid Cameron, I dont think he is what a struggling team needs. He did not have the best time in Miami.

It doesnt make much sense, the Bills want an offensive guy yes but they want a guy with a history of winning and good personnel decisions. Cam has neither, and Billick has both....because of 10 years of nasty defense.

If I were Cam, I wouldn't go Buffalo. Even though he isn't an HC here, he gets to work with a young, talented QB in Flacco, an all-purpose RB like Rice and an o-line that looks like it could be together for a long time. Most would agree that all this team needs is some playmaking pass-catchers and this offense could be one of the best in the league.

In Buffalo, all they have on offense is Fred Jackson, Marshawn Lynch and Lee Evans.

Mixed emotions. I'd want him to stay because consistency, especially with a young QB is the best way to evolve an offense.

But out of all the coaches, I am down on Cam the most. He over thinks plays and gameplans. Such an example would be: Instead of focusing on a teams weakness, he want to surprise their strength.

3rd down calls are bad. Utilizing are players strengths. True this isn't all on Cam. Harbs carries some blame here.

If he goes to Buffalo, it will slightly suck. But I'd be excited to see who we bring in.

Cam would have to realize that Buffalo would be like the Miami experiment part deux, except cold instead of hot.

If I were Cam, I'd be waiting for a job like the Bears. Pieces are there, just need to glue them together.

Exactly. Just when the Bills thought they had found a franchise QB, he goes down and Ryan Fitzpatrick outplays him.

I agree about the Beats.

As for this team, in a few years, it won't matter who the OC is. I'm not saying Flacco will be Peyton but he'll be much more comfortable reading his keys and diagnosing defenses, the line will have likely gelled and the there'll probably be some young studs catching the ball.

Another vote for Cam to stay. He is gonna unleash the offense this weekend. Just wait and see. As previously stated Joe and the offense need consistency. Give him a break, at least he made the right calls when the Dolphin beat the Ravens for their only win of the season two years ago. Sorry, i just had to throw that in there. :)

Hopefully this unleashing will be different from Tomlin's. Cause right now Tomlin is unleashing hell on the golf course.

This is a huge deal. Our whole team will be sent back a couple of years if Cam leaves. We never even got a chance to fully utilize him.

This would by far be a much bigger loss than Rex. We still had Lewis and Reed pick up slacks. With Mason most likely retiring, the young offense will be in major trouble. I don't think he'll be hired, but Cam is the last person I'd want to lose from the coaching staff.

Agreed. Maybe you guys have heard of Drew Brees and Philip Rivers? Cam did a pretty good job at developing those young QB's, didn't he? It's easy for us armchair quarterbacks to question play calling, but no one can question that Cam knows how to develop young QB's.

I personally think if cam leaves it will stun the growth of our offense even though everyone deserves a second chance for success...

I don't want to see Cam go.We need him to continue to help Joe Flacco develop. Hue will do, but right now Cam's got the track record and Joe needs the continuity! Let Rivera have it.
