Ravens 2010 Opponents

62 posts in this topic

I don't think this was posted to day, sorry if it was. I was reading the sport section in my local paper and they were naming all the opponents for each team for 2010. (Dates to be determined)

Baltimore
Home: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Miami, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Denver

Away: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, New England, N.Y. Jets, Atlanta, Carolina, Houston

Surprised we arent playing Denver @ Denver and Houston @ Bmore.

Looks like a fun schedule though. Definitely going to try and see that Saints game!

I'm liking playing the NFC South next year. Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Carolina.

Buffalo is a nice touch as well. Perhaps the return of Brian Billick to M&T, huh?

I was just saying the Pats are the only elite team we play away. I do give the Saints cred, I'm just happy we play them at home.

I hope we get the Saints game scheduled in December. None of this easy dome stuff for the Saints during the toughest football month.

When are the dates set in stone?
They won't be announced until later down the road. This is the prelim schedule announcement. Opponents only.

damn we gotta play the friggin pats again in new england. why do we play these guys every year.
Because we are just that good. Seriously though, we do play either the Pats, Colts, or both most years lately because we have been in 1st or 2nd in our division which is where they have been as well thus we must play them. But next year we play the WHOLE AFC east thus the pats. Not sure why we have to go there in consecutive years though.

Yes, understood. My question still remains. Isnt there a date that the actual game dates are set on, or at least a known week they are set during (ie, the 25th of April, or the 2nd week in May)?

I agree, I hope we get them when it is cold and snowing. I think we would have a major advantage.

that looks like a pretty good list, cant wait for next season already,
Well if one believes in trends. This was suppose to be down season (sort of is), and next year will be our big rebound season.

Another year under the belt for Flacco & Harbaugh.
Maturing of our O-Line.

We'll be looking pretty good. Now if we can only plug the giant holes on defense without penalty laden guys.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Baltimore @ Atlanta for a monday night game, as I'm sure the talk would be if the two quarterbacks that were drafted in the 08' draft in flacco and ryan.

What a boring Home schedule.... the only non-AFC North game really worth seeing is the Saints in my opinion.

Why are all of the hard games on the road?

If there is anything consistent about the NFC South it's their inconsistency. If history repeats itself the Saints should be the 'Aints like usual. They're already starting to look like it now. There are also some interesting stats on teams who finish 13-3, but I won't bore you with that information.

The teams to watch out for might be Carolina and/or Tampa Bay.

New Orleans could of course, become the superpower of the next decade, but I need to see more evidence before I start expecting them to be annual contenders.

That's what I was thinking. If we only win one of those games, I'd rather it be at Atlanta. We won't be able to get another shot at Ryan for another four years, but might see the Jets in 2011 too.

Yeah, that seems to happen to us a lot.

In contrast, all of the Squealers' "hard" games were at Home this year (Tennessee, SD, GB, Minnesota), and will probably be that way next year.... it's kind of absurd.
