It's too amazing to just have one quote from the article

I don't agree with that article at all. If I had to pick a "waste of a playoff spot" I'd pick the Jets.

The Ravens are a waste of a playoff spot, but beating the Ravens is an indication that the Steelers deserve a playoff spot?

Harrison, Woodley, is that you?

This is one of those rare moments in which we are in agreement. They got to face not one, but two teams that rested their starters. Granted, the Bengals starters got whooped too, but still...

You have to keep in mind, those are fan-written articles. They have no more authority than you or I. That article is just typical fan venting and emotional posting on the guy's part -- that, or he doesn't know how to be objective about his writing, if he's really looking to use that site as a platform for a professional career.

I'm amazed at the amount of garbage that's "published" online these days... wow.

Couldn't agree more, my friend.

Another reason why Bleacher Report is not considered a "valid source around" here. There is no journalistic integrity in someone's opinion.
This is clearly not the Ravens team of '99 or '06 or '08...
Fail.
In '99 we sucked. It was '00 we made the playoffs.
The article is flawed. :)

What a creep.
However, that could be used as some great motivation for our team, if someone sent it to them.
I'm just sayin'...

I agree and there is nothing wrong with humor--it gets very difficult when people swear that site is the gospel

From the article.

"In my opinion, tactics like tackling receivers at the line of scrimmage, leaping on players who are already down, dirty blocks, and constant offensive holding are a disgrace to the integrity of the game."

Wow! That sounds like a knowledgable football fan talking about the Steelers! Talk about recto-cranial inversion! The one thing I can always count on from most Steeler fans is their juvenile whinings. When my youngest son gets in trouble at school I will say "Timmy, why did you hit Marcus?" He will inevitable reply "well johnny pulled susie's hair". OK, now can we get back to you and your actions?

Steelers fans will answer a loss or a bad season with "well those guys suck" followed by the crowd favorite "We have six rings. How many do you have?" I love to reply to them this way. "I don't have any and niether do you! The Steelers have six but three of those were obtained long before most of you Steeler fans were born. Now can we talk about the Steelers this year and not next year or yesteryear?"

Also love this one from the article.

"Aside from that, the Ravens' wins have been against the Raiders, Bears, Browns, Lions, Broncos, and Chiefs. You won't find any of those teams in the playoffs."

Please correct me if I am mistaken but didn't 4 of those teams beat the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers? And I don't believe the Ravens lost 5 games with the lead late in the forth quarter. Steelers did and almost made it 6 in Miami. Simply amazing how unsportsman like some Steeler fans can be when their team is not tearing through the NFL.

A few years back I recieved a call from my oldest boy's basketball coach. He let me know that my son had violated the school's athletic code of conduct and that he had called my son on the carpet for it. I ask what he had done and he said that my boy, as the teams were shaking hands after his team had lost, was high fiving the other team members but saying "you suck" to each one of them. When he got home I said it must be pretty embarassing to get smoked by a team that you say "sucked". But then again, he was just a young kid. Not sure what them Steeler fans excuse is.

Yeah, right or wrong, the voters don't agree with the writer. It must be eating him up. LOL.

Somebody cracked the parental lock code on the computer again! What a tool, the only thing wasted was the electricity wasted to spew that junk, but it was fun to vote for the Ravens, hahaha!!

Wonder how he feels about his Steelers taking out another quarterback in what ammounts to a playoff game? Ike lowered his head and lead helmet to helmet! Dirty hit from a team known for them on quarterbacks especially. Then they will say "oh it was not a dirty hit". Watch the replay and see! Just sad.

I am a huge Pat White fan. I followed him through most of his time with the Mountaineers. I do not like the Steelers one iota.

That said, I have watched that hit many times. White was a running back at that point and he also lowered his head and lead with his helmet. It is unfortunate he got hurt and I am very glad he is doing alright, but that hit was perfectly legal. Don't think for a second Tony Sparano wouldn't have gone berserk had it been otherwise.

Perhaps we see it differently. All I know is that a Defender is not allowed to lead with his helmet. What the quarterback did or did not do can not and does not change the rule. Fines will be forthcoming from the league. Mark my words!

Bet you house? 'cause I'll take that bet. If anyone initiated helmet to helmet it was Lemon. Avoiding contact with helmets is nearly impossible and happens probably on 80% of tackles AT LEAST.

Just the way I see it bud. Really. I am not a ref. I am just used to the Steelers taking out QBs. I would expect a Steeler fan to see it different. Just a matter of team loyalty and that is not a bad thing!

Yes I do understand what I see in FB. I drive my family crazy calling the fouls, and the offeders number, on every play that is flagged. Just a hobby I guess. :)

And I'll bet you think Kimo vonOelhoffen did it intentionally too, don't you.

I can't stand conspiracy theorists..., or compulsive haters either for that matter.

So, who DID kill JFK?
Did we really land on the moon?
9/11 an inside job?

Of course not! I know it! As does the NFL office who made a rule change. One of many made because if Steeler dirty play. Kimo made an EXACT same attempt the following week against Peyton. Luckily Peyton was able to step back and avoid the hit directly to the knee. Also loved hearing Joe Porter saying "I am glad Palmer was hurt". Yeah I gotta love a team like that!

As for the last little tid bits you ask in your post, Don't be so childish. Since you were a Marine you are a man not a child. Try to act like it. The neener neener boo boo crap does not suit you! Educated football discussion always appreciated. Manucia not so much!

FACT: It wasn't intentional, Einstein.

Porter didn't say he was glad. He said "too bad" after a few Bengals players (like T.J. Housyermama) started whining. Aside from him, YOUR OWN PLAYERS know it wasn't intentional.

I'm all for "educated FB talk" but I seldom see that from you. All I ever see from you is hate speach or lame, unfounded comments based on your hate. Don't tell me about being a man when your incessant whining wouldn't suit any grown man. Tell you what, start acting like an adult and I'll start treating you like one. K?

Ok Bud. Another neener neener boo boo response but I will give in. Hard to argue facts with those who have no clue!

You can call me a hater and that is cool. No I do not like the Steelers or most of their fans. Just the way it is. I don't really hate anyone. This is all about football and life is a much more serios matter. I let that guide my emotion.
Porter did say exactly what I said he did. Buy the superbowl tape and hear it yourself. Had to watch it twice to be sure I heard the thug correctly. Yep dat's what he said!

I took you out of the block bucket once thinking we just had a misunderstanding early. But that does not seem to be working and I really do not injuring jousting. So Poof!
