Ravens Will Beat The Patriots

34 posts in this topic

I truly believe the Ravens will go into New England and win big Sunday. Patriots are banged up and will have a hard time stopping the Raven's running game. Then the Ravens will travel to Indy for a Saturday night game.

We deffinatly have a better chance with Bradys ribs and finger and Welker being out, only thing against us is they have never lost a playoff game at home or lost to us but I think we get the job done this time.

Please Raven fans, do not under-estimate the will to win that the New England Patriots have. We have'nt had alot of success in Foxboro, and myself more than anyone would love to see the Ravens walk off the field in New England with a big win on sunday. I will say one thing though...if Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens get into a shoot-out with the Patriots...WE CAN'T WIN THAT TYPE OF GAME...JOE FLACCO IS NOT TOM BRADY!!!!! Give the ball to ray ray and willis and burn that clock up while getting touchdowns and not field goals... We can win but its gonna take a huge game by multiple players that usually you dont hear from to win this one...Remember New England is 8-0 In the playoffs at home so dont count your chickens just yet Baltimore fans! PLAY LIKE A RAVEN AND KEEP THE PENALTIES TO A MINIMUM MY PREDICTION>>>>BALTIMORE RAVENS 23 -- NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 21

I believe we can get the job done. I am sure alot of the players are still bitter about the way the last game at NE went. Time to make it right.

With Welker out our chances have gotten better but we seriously need to play flawless football to beat the Pats in the playoffs.

We are definitely going to beat the pats, unless they call penalties everytime we make a big play or if we come anywhere within a yard of Tom Brady.

Its suppose to snow saturday night, hopefully that will change to sunday afternoon.

Let's pray for snow in Foxboro for the game, fellas!

We will destroy them in a run based football game.

Those guys can handle the snow just fine. Remember when Matt Cassle lit up the Cards. D last year in the snow? i think Brady would be just fine.
I dont trust our DB's to do the same.

At least the snow would be the "reason" for Foxworth falling on his ****** lol.

Yeah they are great in the snow, lets just hope its really windy then.

You do remember that they beat the titans 59-0 in the snow...and the Bills just demolished the Colts in the snow. Its actually a huge advantage to the passing game of the offensive team bc the receivers know their route and where they're gonna cut, stop, etc and can prepare for it on the snow. The defenders on the other hand usually have to make more jerky reactionary movements which causes them to slip around. And with slip, trip, and fall on our team it wont be a pretty day if its snowing. Lets hope for clear skies ;)

Seriously though, when do you think they ever not win? You're one of the constant, Positive Petes.

Very true but with Brady having a broken finger and Welker out, I think the snow would be very advantageous. Edelman is great but he is no welker. So mad, I cant watch this game....

I hope we get snow or wind. We struggle against great quarterbacks. Weather hinders great quarterbacks no matter who you are.

If it's just cold, then that favors NE favors. Brady can pass in the extreme cold. Michigan? Mass?

Right now the weather prediction is:
"Plenty of Sun. Highs in the low 20's and lows in the upper teens."

Will is a powerful word.

If you mean:
WILL 1. —used to express desire, choice, willingness, consent, or in negative constructions refusal <no one would take the job> <if we will all do our best> <will you please stop that racket>

Than I have no doubt the Ravens "Will" win the game. They will come to play on Sunday.

But if you mean:
WILL 7. —used to express a command, exhortation, or injunction <you will do as I say, at once>

Than I will have to respectfully disagree. It's anybody's game come Sunday. I'm hoping we can finish this one unlike the other games.

Maybe I am a Positive Pete but I don't see how you can't be with this team. They've only taken two solid beatings all year.

I'm with this team. I like our chances going into this game. I'm a believer. I'm just giving you a hard time.

I see.

On another note, Julian Edelman is a slightly bigger Wes Welker. I just a saw a catch and run he had against the Texans and before I saw his number, I was sure it was Welker.

Carr needs to bring his A-game.

Julian will be giving our guys fits. He still put up great numbers yesterday. 10 catches for 103 yards. We'd be ecstatic if our number 2 guy had those numbers.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I'm still worried about going up against Tom Brady in the playoffs with our secondary. He was able to win super bowls with nobodys at receiver...I'm not really too relieved that all he has this week is Randy Moss...

Yep.

Honestly, I consider Ray Rice to be the #2 receiver on this team. Heap is the third.

Clayton simply goes out a runs routes. Whether he can't get open or Flacco doesn't look his way enough, it just isn't working.

I think they have a great shot, but I wouldn't bet against Brady and the best coach in the NFL.

Two words; play maker. The lack of this will bite us in the playoffs. Our running game is great, but you got to be able to pass the ball against a team like the Pats. Bill will make sure his defense will takes Mason out of the game, D-Will most likely wont get any playing time, and Washington only gets to play on third down.

Not trying to be negative, just realistic. I'll be glad if I'm wrong, but I'm just trying to be realistic at the moment.

Heap seems to be getting more looks in recent weeks though.

With Wes Walker out we can win against the Panzees's. In addition, they do not have a run game.
Their run game will be non-existent.

Our keys to success IMO:
1: Test their cornerbacks. Belichick will focus on shutting down our run game. He wants to make Joe win this for us.
2: Pressure their QB. Maintain their explosive aerial attack. Which also means no big plays, limited penalties. We need to get pressure, if we don't Brady will hit the open man all day.
3: Offensive line needs to show up with a huge game.
