New York Jets @ Cincinnati Bengals
--Rookie QB who isn't quite sure what color jersey. his team wears. The Jets are going to get slaughtered.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys
--Cowboys have two amazing running backs... not to mention Romo has been on fire lately.

Baltimore Ravens @ New England Patriots
--Duh...

Green Bay Packers @ Arizona Cardinals
--One of the best defenses in the NFL with a qb that can throw a Geo Metro 50 yards... Cardinals will fall apart.

I don't know, I think I like the Jets in this game. The Bengals average like three points per game (hyperbole) and the Jets have the best defense in the league. Both teams are similar in that they run the ball alot and rely heavily on defense. The difference between them is that the Jets are better in both categories. If Sanchez can channel Trent Dilfer, the Jets shouldn't have too much of a problem.

The Ravens would play the Colts if they win, because the 6th seed is the lowest possible seed, and lowest seed always plays highest seed.

If the Ravens lose, then it sets up a situation where the winner of the Jets-Bengals game would travel to play the Colts while the Patriots would play the Chargers.

You can apply that same logic to the NFC side of things, starting with the Eagles at the 6th seed.

Could there possibly be a tougher playoff road for us?

I truly believe we CAN beat the Pats as long as we minimise the penalties espicially on princess brady. Personal fouls and pass interferiance will loose the game for us.
That's the story of the year for us.

I agree with everything but I really see the Eagles playing a lot better and pulling something off to beat the Cowboys.

Ravens over Pats
Bengals over Jets
Packers over Cards
Eagles over Cowboys

LETS GO RAVENS!!!

I, unfortuneately, am working tomorrow :(. I get off at 2:30 so I will be booking it to my car to catch IMO the most important half of the game. I have no way to see it except sneaking into the break room to catch it on TV lol.

Ok, so New York beats Cincinnati 24-14 and Dallas beats Philadelphia 34-14, both fairly comprehensive wins.

Certainly hope our boys can grab a huge road victory tomorrow. I was interested to see Philadelphia was previously 7-0 in opening Playoff games under Andy Reid. I only mention this because I know we are 0-5 against New England... Dallas got over their hump, can we?

GO RAVENS!!!!

Another parallel is that both of the winning teams were a combined 3-0 against their opponents in the regular season. Hopefully we can buck the trend.

Well, I was 2-2 :empty trophy case:

My predictions for this week:

NFC: Arizona Cardinals @ New Orleans Saints
--Neither team has a great defense- both teams have great offenses. But Fitz, Breaston and Bolden will be the end of the Saints run.

AFC: Baltimore Ravens @ Indianapolis Colts
--Call me crazy, but the Ravens will finally beat the Manning in the post season.

NFC: Dallas Cowboys @ Minnesota Vikings
--Favre is going to continue his improbable playoff run at 40 and light up the Cowboys 20th ranked secondary.

AFC: New York Jets @ San Diego Chargers
--Upset special. Number 1 defense vs the hottest team in the NFL.
Man this would set up so much for the media, not that I give a crap about them. Flacco/Harbs vs Rex?dirty sanchez. Battle of the 40-somethings Favre/Warner.
That would be awesome. And it could most definitely result in an all purple superbowl.

Exactly. Would be an amazing cap to an improbable NFL season.

Harbs/Flacco (first rookies to win 2 road playoff games) vs Rex/DirtyS (would become the second rookies to win 2 road playoff games). Baltimore Ravens vs New York Ravens. EPIC GAME!

Then 40 year old Favre vs 38 year old Warner, both most likely retiring after this season (FOR GOOD!).

That'd probably be the most epic weekend of football I've ever seen.

I believe it is Gumbel and Dierdorf, assuming Nantz and Simms wanted to spend the weekend in San Diego

Moved this to the Other Teams section since the Ravens are now eliminated. Will continue to update the first post even though most fans know who's playing who and when.
