Black Uniforms On Sunday Night

We would like to let all of our fans know that, during the Sunday Night Football game vs. the Indianapolis Colts, the Ravens players will be sporting their all-black uniforms for the second week in a row. The 71,382 fans who were at Monday night's game vs. New England (an M&T Bank Stadium attendance record) did unbelievable job cheering on the team as we almost upset the undefeated Patriots. We thank you for your tremendous and unending support. We hope that the fans attending this Sunday's game will cheer on the Ravens just as loudly as we try to take down the defending Super Bowl Champions. Once again, if you're coming to the game and own a black jersey, we encourage you to wear it to M&T Bank Stadium as we try to black out the Colts!

Also, the authentic, alternate black jerseys worn by every Ravens player during Monday night's memorable game vs. the Patriots are being auctioned off. The money raised from the auction will benefit the team

I'm partial to purple, but I definitely don't mind black, especially on the defensive side. Like I said somewhere before, a mass of huge dark bodies coming straight at you can't be enjoyable. It would scare me half to death to see Ray Lewis in all black trying to take my head off, don't know about you

Purple is our main stream color....and the Color to which we are known for wearing hince why we have the saying "Fear the Purple and Black" and not the black on black lol or white on white or white on black or something of that nature.

the black on black jerseys are hands down most badass in the nfl...other than all blue bears home jerseys, but they dont wear those anymore, i agree the black on black should be the regulars and purple and black primetime

i cant argue with .....they are indeed the Bad a** uniforms in the nfl...noone else can even come close to them, plus the fact that we always play well in them just adds more to it

Yeah, I mean it would go with logic anyways. Ravens are pure black, and in light they shine purple. makes sense to me. But I mean if they could make some other alternate-alternate jersey, now we should use that for primetime games.

true, true. The black jerseys give them a fresh and intimidating look (in my point of view) so youre right, they should be kept for special occastions.

these are special uniforms meant only for special occasions and thats where they should stay.....wearing those Special jersey's and giving the players an added rush and play making ability that they reach from deep inside themselves.

So lets keep it special and unique...not old and black and worn out

but i think it all depends on who exactly we're going up against...last week i could understand that...with it being the "patriots"...this week is the SuperBowl Champs Colts so i can understand that....we wouldnt wear them for any ordinary thing/event.

Well I can see that. Maybe the need for the black is specific to a certain event in our team's timeline. Personally I'm a big fan of the purple and black though (not so much the white). I wish they would change our home jerseys to black and the away jerseys to purple. Wouldn't make sense though, can't have both our main jerseys as dark colors...too bad...

naturally i think we all are fans of our Purple and black....as they are indeed..our offical Team colors....

i think they should keep the jerseys and their particlar order the way it is. that way the "mgaic" is not lost. and the Players will get extra motivated whenever we do in fact wear the Black on Black.

that way i mean, like when they do wear the Black Jersey's....the Players take it upon themselves to perform beyond their physical limitations and above the standard of game play.
