Let's Stop It

22 posts in this topic

Despite everything, the penalties, injuries, close losses, we're still in the playoffs. The team proved YOU GUYS wrong. To everyone out there who spent the whole season doubting us, stop right now and enjoy this. (Especially now that Pit is gone)

Now I know our season isn't over and we're still fighting for another SB, but just for this week, stop the hostility, stop the criticism, and let the team play football. If we lose again, you can bash the team all you want, but with all this said, I have one word for ya:

BELIEVE

for how the team played this year i think getting to the playoffs is amazing

imagine had a couple games gone the other way for us and get back all those injuries we had and imagine how much damage we could have done this year

I mean calling out "YOU GUYS" as 'wrong' is negative, and you profess to be trying to stop the negativity. Wrapping cookies in doo-doo and then angrily telling people to appreciate the cookies you baked them for once... well, mixed message.

Being positive about the win = good

Acting like you're the positive one = bad

good + bad = bleh... make sense?

we are in the playoffs and i am extremely excited about that! as painful as it has been at times this season to watch the Ravens....i would still rather watch the Ravens play in the playoffs than for them to be sitting at home!

At least the negativity stimulates some entertaining debates.

This is just...boring. Hence my response.

Hehe. In the end we're all Ravens fans. That's what matters. The fighting is just sibling rivalry.

I agree. It's been quite a rollercoaster ride. And like you say, if those last-play losses had gone our way instead, the division would have been wrapped up weeks ago. But that will be debated for some time, right now we're in and it's sweet!

Personally, I think criticism, if well-directed and based in reality, is a good thing and stimulates productive discussion.

Agreed. Sadly, this usually ends in massive negative ratings for anyone with an alternative opinion or sense of humor. Sometimes I don't know why I contribute to this forum filled with so many close-minded one-sided deathly serious knuckleheads who refuse to logically evaluate opposing statements or keep a sense of humor. Thus my terrible rating.

Growing up in the Philadelphia area I know all about criticizing your hometown team...trust me!We Ravens fans city for city are arguably the most loyal fans in the nation. That's only one reason I'm proud to be a Ravens fan.I've yet to come across a true Raven's fan who rips into them on a regular basis.

Quite true. I grew up in Northern Delaware, and yeah, Ravens fans are downright awesome compared to our neighbors to the north, the infamous Eagles fans.

Congrats to the Ravens!

I'm happy we finally got rid of that not having ever won on the road in the final regular season game record. I'm delighted for Rice and his 2000 all purpose yards. I'm ecstatic for McGahee who had a fantastic game. I'm confident we can pull it together and beat the Patriots, we owe them.

Now, um...can I say what I think they need to work on tomorrow? Or do I just take :th_happypills: and keep my mouth shut all week?

Just wondering. ;)

Yeah you showed us 'negative' types huh?. 9-7, barely squeeked into the playoffs, most penalized team (or close...might be #2)......yep truly shoved it in our faces.....yep *heavy sarcastic tone*

I'll leave the 'criticize-the-team-in-the-least-and-you-are-the-worst-fan-ever' arguments aside. But you are somewhat right. Enjoy it now and take each game as it comes. Nice to have back to back playoff appearances for sure.
