Any one else feel like we can avenge all of our losses despite our poor play?

Patriots, Colts, Bengals, Minnesota.
You bet we can. When it comes to point deficit, the only team to worry about is Cincinatti.

Well its round 2 against the Patriots next week. So now the question is we get the 5th or 6th seed? If Jets lose tonight the Texans get in as the 6th Seed and the Ravens move to the 5th Seed. I'll be pulling for the Bengals tonight as I want the 5th seed and I want the Texans into the playoffs for the first time in their franchise history.

2 most important things that happened today:

1. We're in the playoffs.

2. PIT is not in the playoffs.

I'm so happy we're in the playoffs, also that I didn't lose a bet at work and have to wear silver and black!

One game at a time Rocky.

Yes I think we can avenge ourselves against the Patriots. They're hurting big time....we just have to play smart. Hopefully this win will get guys realizing stuff. Don't we all wish we could go into ONE team meeting and give them all a piece of our minds? :) I know personally I would yell my throat raw if I got a chance to tell the guys how I've been feeling.
I would absolutely love to lace into them at a meeting, sadly it would prob hold no weight. What really needs to happen, is Ray needs to rip into everybodys ****** collectively without naming names before the wild card game.

I was already there PARavensgirl. They should start Flacco, but have the <guts> to pull him when he starts to screw up which I know he would. That's what I hate about these soft coaches. They dont have the <guts> to pull a QB because they are afraid of continuity. If you have a QB that cant escape the blitz and read coverages, put in the mobile one that can escape the rush and make a play with his legs. The minute the pocket collapses, watch V Young take off and become a threat. Five yards is better than -5
Continuity is why the elite teams are elite; if the Colts had given up on Peyton Manning after his atrocious rookie season, do you really think they'd be where they're at now? How about Tom Brady and his early inconsistencies with the Patriots?

And again with the argument about mobile QBs; a mobile QB outside of Ben Roethlisberger has not won a Super Bowl since the days of Steve Young, and before that was Roger Staubach. And Roethlisberger's not even a traditional scrambler, he just keeps plays alive and throws the ball at the last second. Big difference between Roethlisberger's style and Troy Smith/Vince Young's style.

I still wanna know why you think Smith is better other than personal bias. Like facts.
He's mobile and he moves the chains. He rarely gets sacked and has a good arm. When we lost to Miami, Troy was the one that got us down the field on that final drive. He got the ball to the 1 yard line and Billick wanted to put the game on Stovers legs. That's when he lost the locker room. Troy was supposed to start over Flacco but he got sick. Flacco got the position by default. Since they were winning, they never took him out. If he's so good, why hasn't anyone talked about him lately. It has been the Ray Show(Lewis and Rice). The only time you saw Troy play with the first team is in the Miami game and against the Lions 2 weeks ago. Even then he came in and scored a TD with his legs(as usual) on his opening drive.

Just be careful with your bets. You already had to wear a Favre jersey. Would hate to see you in a Brady jersey too.

Joe was ALWAYS the planned long term solution. You don't pick guys in the first if thats not the plan. He will get better and he did throw for 21Td's and 3600 yards passing with nearly 90 QB rating. I'd say thats pretty darn good for a second year signal caller. Troy is a backup and will be proven as such if he leaves after this season. BTW, Troy threw a pick in his las completion IN THE ENDZONE.
