Undefeated has no real allure for me. As long as we make the playoffs thats what matters. Id rather fly under the radar like Cardinals or the Chargers(not so much anymore) and suprise everyone in the postseason.

wow, that is a bold statement. Too bad there is 60 minutes in a football game and not 58 minutes. I'm pretty sure the Bengals worked us the second time pretty bad.

Periods and commas are your friend. ;)

I think you'll find people around here will give your posts more respect (even though your OP is off the mark) if you make it easy for them to read.

First of all, I don't think we'd be undefeated if we played our best. The Packers and Bengals games didn't come down to the last minute, and we were dominated. I do think we would have easily won the division.

But really the bottom-line is, we are just a mediocre team. If you really want to talk close losses than the Texans and Steelers would also be pretty close to bieng undefeated.

We couldve but we arent, just like every other team couldve but they arent. Every team has a chance to go undefeated and it doesnt happen often, well ever if you consider winning it all undefeated. We lost fair and square the second time around to the bengals anyway.. Sure there had been stupid penalties and bad refs that didn't help us, but a lot of games were the ravens mistakes.. and you can bring it down to one player, but that player is part of a team so they lose as a team...

It was possible for us to win, but we didnt... we have to look forward to the Raiders, and try and win to go to the playoffs... thats when we need to buck up, and get our heads straight... Cause there aint nothing like a superbowl ring.

maybe not undeafted but a better record than we got now. when we played the bengals the second time and the packers we were not dominated but didnt bring our best game. those games didnt come down to the last 2 minutes. the other games we played yes game down to the last 2 minutes. we should have easily won the division, but it is what it is. we handed the game to the steelers last week. i have been arguing with this steeler fan all week about this. we out played them plain and simple. just give me one of the three touchdowns that were called back. if we won that game pitt is out of the playoffs. other teams that mess up and lose just lose ya know. the ravens we should have won most of our games but due to flags and dropped passes we stand at 8-7 until sunday.

you could say that we could be undefeated but we are not and teams that can win the close games are the teams who will do well in the playoffs. We will have to start winning close games other wise we will be 1 and done.

I truley do not see us as an undefeated team without the close calls. What I do see is the Ravens at 13-3 at the end of the season if we could finish a game at the last 3 minutes of a game

I agree that undefeated is not really all that to hope for during a season. It might bring accolades for years to come if successful but it also creates a lot of pressure on a team in the end stretch. The Packers game was just a dreadful game all the way around. Any time the refs have a 300 yd impact on a game, you know there is an issue with the officiating. If the refs had just allowed our teams to play football who knows what would have happened? As for the Bengals, I have to disagree that they dominated us the second game. We did our usual forgetting to show up the first half but we held them scoreless for nearly three quarters and it was that missed FG with 6 mins left which would have put us within a TD that killed the Ravens' spirit. Thank you Hauschka yet again.

maybe not undefeated, 2 games we lost to Green Bay and Cincinatti by 2 possessions.

But that is just what separate the elite teams from the average teams in the NFL, clutch and key plays. There's a very thin line between a win and loss, any given sunday.
