Ravens-pats Draws Best-ever Cable Audience

how do these people get these stats? do they keep stalking people or what? lol

seriously, That just proves that no matter how much of an underdog that people thought the ravens were, they knoew that his game would be a smasmouth foootball game and would go down to the wire.

The TV/cable box tells the cable company what channel to send. This allows the company to determine such statistics.

Wow. People were either tuning in to see the Ravens get slaughtered or watch the Patriots get beat. Neither happened :-)

Many people don't watch the entire game. It is likely this statistic is representative of the peak of the broadcast. People may have tuned in for the last 3 minutes because they heard/saw that it was going to be dramatic.

Pretty sure there's a certain amount of time they need to be tuned it for it to count. Otherwise you get alot of the people who are just flipping through the channels. Not sure though, don't know anything about it. Either way, there was a huge crowd of people watching.

It just goes to show that all B-more fans are "die-hard" if you wish.Funny thing is i still see all the ravens fans still sporting there jerseys even with a bad season.I have 9 diffrent name jerseys, 15 total,(some same names in diffrent colors)I sport a jersey every day of the week!!

Another funny thing is all the cowboy and steeler fans i see sporting there jerseys this year..Last year at the same bar, and same people i diddnt see these guys wearing them.

thats what we always try to enforce.....we must always support our "cause", no matter how bad of a season it maybe...because sooner or later things will turn out for the better for us and people will be saying nothing but good stuff/things about us..

i can agree with you on that....after they won those first 2, you could start to see ALOT of people kinda "jumping" shup from their old team to New England....thats just what a majority of the fans in the NFL do because they cant take the Bad times and the bad seasons....all they want to see is the Good and never want to hear the bad...but every team here, in this league has been through their share of hardships and as i said before...sooner or later the Patriots will be at the bottom of the Pile again trying to build up a good team...just like everyone else here.

so many people also wanted the pats to win because they are ban wagoners

Not to mention, they're also band wagoners.

Here's my 2 cents. Before the Ravens-Pats game I really thought the Pats were a high-powered offensive and defensive juggernaut that actually was the best team ever. Then the Ravens made them look like Apollo Creed (beatable) and now I am back to believing that they aren't the best team ever. Our team last year woulda destroyed the Pats on Mon night. I can think of a bunch of other teams from a 2-3 years ago that woulda beaten these Pats as well.

as the season wears on...week after week....There isnt ANY team in the NFL that doesnt have wear and tear on its players....every team has their own issues and throughout this season the Patriots Defense has started to show just that.

i think that this old theory comes into play when talking about this....."Strong and fast at first, but as time goes on...wear and tear, begins to take its toll...and performance begins to slide towards the end"
