How is he still on this team? Everytime I see this guy on my screen its him getting burnt, I love how he tried to rip the ball away and didnt even budge it. Wow this guy sucks.

It was either him or Cory Ivy.

Frankly, I thought he played well. There were really only 2 negative plays by him. First, was the 45 yard completion at the end of the 1st half. He had tight coverage but it was one of those underthrown balls that are so hard to defend. I don't blame him for it. Instead blame the D-line who jumped offsides and gave them a free play because otherwise I don't think Ben throws that ball into what was tight coverage.

The other was the illegal contact at the end of the game. We all know people are split 50-50 on it. Even if Ben wasn't out of the pocket I can see how he might assume he is. I can't fault him for that either.

The last call was unfortunate. The Steeler WR ran straight at him while Rothlisberger was scrambling.

I really don't like this topic, but I'm going to respond anyway.

Frank Walker doesn't even turn around!! He is very bad at playing corner. If someone could get through to him and explain that if he simply played the ball for half a second (meaning just slightly turned around and let the refs see that) he would be called for A LOT less PI penalties.

He is almost always on the receiver tight, he just NEVER plays the ball.

ya know, william gay didnt look much better and had mason actually caught the td that he beat gay on people would be commenting on how he gave up 3 td throws to the ravens rather than about how walker shouldnt be allowed in the ufl let alone the nfl.

How many chances are we going to give this guy? I mean really, he costs us way too many games for him to even be taking up a roster spot. I would imagine that Harbs likes him for his special teams ability but who cares? You can find a gunner like Cary Williams easily and it would benefit us much more than having a penalty prone corner back like Walker. With the free agency pool and draft coming up I think I speak for everyone when saying Walker needs to be gone in 2010. No Exceptions.

Come on guys, at least he's consistent. I mean, you know to expect either 1) A defensive pass interference that also results in a catch, automatic 30+ yards, or 2) gets burnt and offense scores on a 50+ yard touchdown pass. Guys, that's really all you can ask of a NFL player, right?

P.S. When he does make an interception, he seems to like to throw said ball 40 yards down the field, resulting in ANOTHER penalty. Team player right there.

He is awful absolutely, but no doubt he is our most physical corner, behind Lardarius Webb. SOOOO pissed that we lost that guy...

He is the worst in any football league history and it's not even close.

I don't know about the worse CB in the league, but definitely the worse CB the Ravens have seen. Why did we even bother signing Ivy? I thought it was to avoid this kind of debacle from Frank Walker. Harbaugh needs to get over his love affair with this guy and now. Frank Walker on the field in the post season equals one and done. We can't afford Harbaugh to continue to wear those rose colored glasses where Frank Walker is concerned any longer.

Frank Walker can't even hold right. The point is that you can't keep up so you hold him to keep him within distance of your speed, he however lets the guy get 20 yards away everytime.

I don't hate ya frank, but if you must hold do it right.

Frank Walker is an old school corner, the new Offense is always right penalties aren't friendly to him. 10 years ago he would be an good corner. You only hear from him a few plays a game. Those few plays end up as penalties most the time. You all take those few plays and blow it up.

The play before the half was great coverage, just a bad pass in good coverage. The last play that ended the game was debatable. I'm not sure what he was thinking maybe he saw Big Ben running maybe he intentionally ran into the receiver thinking it was legal. Other than that he didn't give much up.

Other than this game and probably two others, you're right.

I have a feeling he isn't as bad as he looks on T.V (sort of the reverse infomercial) but it can't be good to lead the league in penalty yards given up and not even be a starter for most of the year.

Exactly! If Frank would just look back for the ball now and then the rule would give him more latitude to defend the receiver. He seems like he plays their eyes and if they slow down Frank steam rolls them and then ! Frank, play the ball!!

Aside from him being horrible. He has some of the worst ball skills I've ever seen in my life. Notice how everytime he is actually there they catch it right in front of his face anyway.

many on this message board need a scapegoat. I think its kinda like a security blanket. after every game lose or win there are complaints about pretty much everyone and anyone.way to support ppl

It is not about having a scapegoat. There are other issues besides Frank Walker. The fact remains however, that he does not bring anything to the table that improves this squad. Worse than that, he actually hurts us with penalties when he is in the game. His contract is up in March. If the Ravens re-sign him, someone should check the water in the front office.

Am I the only one that feels like there in the twilight zone when Harbs says, "Frank Walker played great all year."

I got it.....Walker is holding harbs dog hostage and in the ransom note he makes harbs say these crazy things

Well if we make it to the playoffs, we have FW on the starting line-up. So all this negativity about his playing skill, doesnt help us at all in the playoffs. So keep ya head up about Walker boys, i have my doubts but we gotta think positive and prove the critics wrong. WOOHOO GO FRANK WALKER!
