Oher On 20/20 Tonight

23 posts in this topic

well technically tonight lol, Tuesday the 29th at 10 on ABC will be a feature on The Blind Side and from the previews it looks like Oher did sit down with their interviewer and answered questions. Looks like it should be a good feature and some good publicity for the Ravens.

Yes! I forgot, Can't wait. I have heard mixed things on his opinion about the movie. One that he thought it was very accurate and another stated that he felt it made him look like a fool. we will see.

Your sig is sick man...

I heard that the movie was very accurate about his upbringings, and being taken in by the family, but they downplayed his football knowledge into making him look like a moron and having never stepped on a field in his life. They had him line up squatting on the front line, as opposed to getting in his stance. Come on Hollywood! My 3 year old nephew knows how to line up!

I must say I loved the movie...even though the movie I obtained was a pirated copy lol..I enjoyed very much

and it really was a feel good movie...but all stories have problem plots..and I must say the issue they bring up about whether or not the touies(??) took Oher in out of the kindness of their heart or whether it was to mold him to be a OLE MISS football player seems like a very valid argument...and has really made me look at this story in another light..

But needless to say it was a great deed whatever the reason was and they helped transfrom a young man into OUR FUTURE StAR!

I've read the book and will most likely see the movie on DVD the way its going, but I really enjoyed Debra Roberts interview and the story about the other kid following in Michael' s foot steps.

I saw Blindisde Tuesday and it is a feel good movie. According to the 20/20 show, it has inspired another family to do the same thing and pay it forward.

ChiTownRavens..what you have expressed is a really great question that all of us need to ask ourselves , particularily heading in to another year.

" what good have I done recently".

I asked myself this question a while ago ( I am 46).
I decided to tell my wife and kids that I love them every day.I decided to try and not judge or be critical of people ( D.Carnegie) and not sweat the small stuff.

If you have talent, share it.

Michael Oher ended up giving much more than what the Tuohy's expected. They gave back and it returned in ten fold.

Happy New Year Ravens Fans.

As he said in the interview, the only problem he had with it was the fact that they made him look like he knew nothing about football.

The entire documentary had me in tears: my own gratitude toward the Tuohy family and all. I really like how they entwined the stories of Quentin Aaron and the you man from Memphis in around Michael's story.
