Probably not and even if they did they would not care. I think our players and coaches have better things to do then read the web site's message boards. Especially when we are in the middle of the playoff hunt.

Agreed, but who is to say that maybe the players families do and that is why we don't allow personal attacks. Dan Wilcox used to blog for the site.
I know we all have wonderful ideas to "fix" everything, but I defer to the professionals.

Yeah, sure. Can't you imagine yourself being a young and handsome, multi-millionaire with nothing to do, and just sitting around reading stupid, emotional, diatribes from a bunch of dumb-****** fans? Get real, already. :229031_rofl:

*Now after drinking a six-pack (or worse), the "drunken stupor of thought" might cross my mind that it might be fun to invite some of my team-mates over for some fun reading some of this crap though.* :th_204070:

I sure hope the players aren't on here... not while they've got so much else to do. The coaches seem even less likely to be in here than the players, considering their work load and total lack of interest (I could see a player seeking approval, but a coach is too busy working out the 'math' to care what the amateurs MMQB's think). That said, the further away you get from the starting line-up, and throughout the family, I bet there's more of a chance to see people connected to the team cruising the boards now and then.

Maybe someone sneaks off to check the website, but not out of any concern for what the fans really think... at best a morbid curiosity of what goofiness occurs here. Relatives likely. Bored players in odd situations (maybe some of you made Troy want to leave!) also might be paying attention... or those with deep connections to the fans' approval (I wonder how often T.O. checks the boards for his team).

It just seems to me the players are usually too busy with so much else better to do.

I'd be willing to bet that many NFL players do read the message boards of their teams. With all of the facebook, twitter, and other internet social sites I don't find it very far fetched. Especially the younger guys. Is Ray Lewis reading the boards? No probably not, he's got better things to do with his family. Is Rice? Maybe...

I agree with the majority here. I doubt the players or coaches find the time to scroll through all the opinions of the fans. What I am sure of is the players and coaches are made aware somehow of the general concensus of our opinions. They know how we feel about the way things are going. With that said though I dont think it would change anything as to the way they approach the game.

I dont think they read during the season but in the offseason im sure they look sometimes. But during the offseason i agree that some of the younger players look to see what we think as fans. Im sure as a player you wonder what fans are thinking of you and the team i know i would wonder.

I was thinking this the other day.

If they do. I wouldn't be surprise to see Onel Cousins show up at my door with his boys, ready to beat me down.

Sure, because an NFL offensive lineman would need 'his boys' to beat you down, PuBear. :)

If they do read this I hope Chris Carr cries about the things i say about him...
[/quote]

Carr has improved the past few weeks. While he drew a penalty against the Steelers trying to cover Ward(I still feel Ward grabbed his facemask) he made up for it with a forced fumble too.

yea Carr has improved some i just have the feeling he has a problem at covering the slot although it shouldnt really make a difference i just guess he has a hard playing up tight on his man.

I doubt it, but I know that at least one football players does. Chris Cooley has talked about the things that he read on his team's forum.

You guys are pretty funny.
I was just wondering, not like they would change anything, but since they all make a lot of dough, due to us paying things like ticket prices, jerseys, etc., maybe they would take a look to see what we think about them.
Usually, it is deserved, because when you get down to it, it is entertainment.
I am bummed when the season is over in Feb.,whoever wins the Super Bowl - and can't wait until training camp in the summer.

Would you? Seriously, if there were a site where anyone could say just about anything about you, nitpick every little move you make, and carry on like you owe them something, would you read it? I wouldn't, masochism isn't my thing.

Conversely I think it would make me very uncomfortable to have people gush over me. So either way I would say no, they don't read the fora here or on other sports sites.

Probably, considering the interest the show in other peoples opinions on twitter.

Also I know family members/friends of various players have in the past.
