2008 Nfl Draft

i think that with we have that JO type of player in Gaither now...he just needs more practice and experience to further himself along the way....Plus i think (as i've said before) the young guys/rookies from this season will become vital parts of this O-Line in the near and far future....they will all play vital/key roles in opening holes for us to run through and keeping defenders out of the back field...i think a Major part this season's "ok" and not "great" or even "Good"performance's was the fact that they let too many defenders in the back field for a shot at our quarterback....but again...all have shown potential and what they can become for us with time....and i feel as time goes on, they will only continue to get better

the OL coach needs to bring these guys up to speed quicker, and Billick needs to demand more effort out of everybody on every down, every game. We nearly beat the Pats and then can't beat the likes of Miami. Granted, our starting CB's were out, but the other guys have to be coached better and utilized to fill in the gaps.

It comes back to coaching again for me, but in the end the players have to have the will and determination to win. No let up!!!

Trust me brotha, the players (D. Martin and Pittman to be specific) have the will and determination, but they just arent as good as chris or rolle, even an average cornerback.

College Football Live had the Ravens picking Brian Brohm. It's the smart thing to do. Also, they talked about Mike Jenkins for about three minutes straight. The Ravens will take one of these guys with their first pick, probably Brohm.

I'm sorry, Mike Jenkins is not the godsend you think he is. I'll give him credit for a good job on Harry Douglas IV but he just isn't as good as Malcolm Jenkins, Aquib Talib or Antoine Cason.

I'll give you Malcolm Jenkins, but Mike is above the other two. He proved this AT Auburn and against WVU. Aqib Talib faced off against one good offense this season, and we all know what happened in that game. The reason why Mike Jenkins is projected to go higher is because of his typical Florida speed and he worked his flaws in the off season.

Malcolm Jenkins is easily the best CB prospect in this draft. Ohio State says he runs a 4.3 40(which comparativly would be yamon figurs speed on that) which means he has the speed to keep up with anyone in the NFL. He could guard the faster WRs and do very well at it. Most people from Ohio state tend to not have an extremely difficult time transitioning to the NFL, so we could definitly use him as a 3, if not a 2 and move rolle to the nickel and dime packages.

If we are going for the best available talent, I think we should definately draft Colt Brennan. He's a phenom! All his critics speculate that he won't do well in the NFL because he plays in an easy conference. He is in a weak conference, i'll give them that. However, he led the Hawaii Warriors to their first undefeated season prolly ever. It doesn't matter who he plays against or who he's throwing to because this kid can hurl a football. Just about every throw he makes is unbelievably accurate and perfectly placed. He finds his way to the endzone about 5 times a game. He led them to a late comeback to defeat Washington. He can read defenses extremely well and reminds me of Peyton Manning, except this kid can rely on his legs. Unortunately, I think we will try to get Brian Brohm. He's a bit bigger than Colt and looks more like a NFL quarterback. He plays in a tougher devision, is very accurate, makes good decisions, and rarely turns the ball over.

If we draft according to which postition we need, I think we will take a desperately needed cornerback. Our best bet is to draft Antoine Cason he could definately be the next Chris McAllister. I see a lot of the same qualities in him and Antoine has recieved just about every award possible. He is definately one of the best defensive backs I have seen in a long time. I also like Brandon Flowers because of his tenacity. He would fit very well on this team and plays with the spirit of a Raven because if a reciever actually catches the ball when he covers them, Brandom definately makes them pay for it. Ed Reed and him would get along just fine.

I also like DE's Derrick Harvey and big Calais Campbell. Harvey is from Greenbelt, MD.

i can agree with that particular choice of player at the CB position but with that said...we must evaluate ALL of our options here and take a look at each player throughly....
