Just A Few Questions Here.

Guys and Gals, i am more concerned with our running game then the defense. I would love to see us give the Steelers a HEAVY dose of Leron Sunday. Sure utilize rice with some nice play action but keep shoving Leron down their throat for the entire first half and then Bang, second half when they are tired Let the speedy Rice run all over the field.

I figure if we run the ball the clock will roll along and ben will not get that many chances on the field to even throw to that receiving corps he has. That is our only chance i think. If Ben gets the Bulk of the time we are screwed.

Where did our pass rush go. Was Bart Scott the main reason we had a good pass rush last year ? Kinda makes me re-evaluate who we kept and who we let go. Scott is the heart of the Jets yet we opted to keep the More Expensive Suggs. Who is making more of an impact on the field. Looks like we lost in that situation.

I believe our game plan will be to bring a lot of the unbalanced line and run the rock all game. Keep Ben and the offense on the bench.

I think the reason our pass rush has suffered is our front four. I love Ngata but he's just not performing amazing this year, a lot of people said he's going to have a break out pro bowl year this year but I think that will have to wait till the '10 season.

Just my opinion.

McClain was starting to wear out the Steelers' D before he went down with an injury in the first game. I doubt Cam gives him the rock much but he should get some carries.

As for the pass rush, I don't remember the pass rush being much better last year. There were several games where QBs had seemingly all day to throw the ball. The pass rush has improved slightly since Barnes and Kruger started getting more playing time but neither of them are overly dominant at getting to the QB. Another big problem is that the Ravens' simply don't have a DT that can collapse the pocket. For as much pub as DeMarcus Ware gets, their nose tackle Jay Ratliff collapses the pocket a lot.

And Bart is a great role player but the heart of the Jets' D is either Revis or David Harris.

Get the ball to your best player as much as possible and score often. That player is Ray Rice. No need to tinker with McClain or McGahee, wear down the Steelers defense by letting them chase Rice all over the field.

It don't do you any good going 3 and out the first 4 offensive series because your trying to get McClain involved and getting behind 21-0. Get Rice the ball and score as much as possible all day.

Well Bart had 9 sacks in 06 but only had 2.5 combined in 07 and 08 the departure of Bart Scott actually hasnt had a big effect on the pass rush at all compared to last year.

Thats a great plan until we start having to kick FGs or worse, going 3 and out and the steelers go right down the field on our corners and we're down by 2 tds...bye bye run game.

Thats what screwed us up against the Packers, we ran too much, drives stalling, then we are down 17-0 and then pass pass pass pass, 3 ints. I just hope we have a balanced gameplan and the defense is rested and focused.

You cant just abandon the run game at all because Rice is our best offensive weapon. Keep in mind guys we rushed for what was it 150 against the Steelers in Bmore? Running the ball is key to our success, but that also doesnt mean running straight into a brick wall. Secondly Bart isnt even the best LB on his team, and since 06 has like 3.5 sacks in 3 years. Thirdly Rex had to go pure overload to cause pressure the last 2 years because we dont have anyone on the Dline or LBs besides Suggs when hes on that can cause pressure.
