Is this [i]not[/i] the year of the kicker? Someone gets cut every week it seems.

Beause the elite teams this year aren't as invincible as they used to be, every point counts; so if a kicker can't do their job, they get the boot (no pun intended.)

That said, ironic that one of the elite teams in the Saints would be one of those teams that needed to cut their dead weight at kicker. Then again, they already have a decent young leg in Garrett Hartley, so Carney was never really necessary, save for Hartley's early-season suspension for using a banned substance.
