Ravens/steelers Game Should Get Flexed

30 posts in this topic

After watching the Skins get demolished on Monday Night Football, lets hope the NFL flex our schedule to play on Sunday night. At least this way we get to see them play.

The last two weeks the Ravens game was not on TV and I live in MD.

To be honest I'd prefer the game to be a night game, or at least 4:15. It's going to be one of the biggest games of the week and... I have to work Sunday until 230 :ICONATOR_01040da29c18a4eed76047

They can't flex it.. they have to give 12 days notification to do so and it's past that time. Plus be honest; do you REALLY think NBC is going to NOT show the Cowboys/Redskins game? That game = huge ratings for them and there's not a chance they take it off of their airwaves.

away games have to be shown in 2ndary markets. 2ndary markets are gauranteed 8games a yr.

The last two games by contract have to be shown in da DC metro area. No worries!

It won't be flexed. Especially if the Cowboys are playing on Sunday night. Not to mention that they already had a Raven/Steeler Sunday night game.

I'm just fine with the game starting at 1. I guess the OP lives in Redskin territory.

So, it IS too late to be flexed?
GREAT for me, if so. We have a Christmas party Sunday night and there are no t.v.'s in the joint. :(

^^ you can't flex an NFC east matchup......why you think an NFC east team get a primetime game every week? NFC east are the TV darlings. Redskins could go 0-16 and would still have 2 primetime games to put it in perspective.

and a divisional mathcup in the NFC east will not moved.

For the teams sake let's hope it doesn't get flexed. The Ravens seem to struggle in Primetime. Especially against Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh.

I like our chances better with it being a 1 pm game.

Plus CBS declared a long time ago, that they will be holding the rights to this game. They will be showing this game to most of the country, including all of Maryalnd. And it is too late anyhow.

That was the past, and we already beat them on Sunday Night this year.

Correction - stuggled to barely beat them and against a back up QB in our home. Dixon with the ball in his hand during the 4th quarter, is not the same as Rothlisberger.

And we also struggled a bit against the Browns on Primetime.

I'd rather struggle with a win then lose the game. The last time we didn't struggle against the Steelers was in 2006. All AFC North games will be tough and not an easy win as it should be. It doesn't matter what time of the day it's being played.

It's not too late for them to make it a 4pm game. I don't think they will but they can change the time a few days before.
What they can't do is it make it a Sunday night game, that they need 12 days notice except next week.
The last week of the year it's 7 days notice.

CBS protected this game... it's going to be at 1:00 unless something changes.

Can we please put the "Ravens struggle in primetime" thing. Its getting VERY old and annoying! We barely lost in Pitt last year, beat the Skins at home and beat Dallas to close out Texas Stadium. This year we beat the Browns and Steelers maybe not convincingly but we still won, and we had a tough game at Lambeau in 20 degree weather big deal. 4-2 in the last two years! PUT IT TO REST!!

Just about everyone in the mid-Atlantic region is going to have an interest in this game. Sunday night football does take 1st priority, though, I believe, but hey, I'd love for it to be on at night and NFC teams and AFC teams often don't really care that much about the other conference. I have a friend who likes the BOYS and so I'd like to see them in the playoffs, they're certainly capable of beating anyone as they proved against the mighty SAINTS. They won't do it simply 'cause they could do that to 4 or 5 important AFC games, you know?

peace.

As pointed out earlier in the thread, this game is locked to the 1:00 time slot. It was locked at the beginning of the year and can not be flexed.
