Luckily the we have Suggs this time around. Despite his performance of late and injuries, he always comes to play against the Steelers.

Steelers fans fear him more than any other Raven. So lets milk Suggs for all he's got in this game. I know he'll have a great game, because he is a Steelers killer.

Originally I thought we got a lot of help today. But when thinking about it. It wasn't us that got the help. The help was for the Steelers.

Why not? They always rain on our parade. It will be a tough divisional game next week. Luckily for us, we might be able to afford losing the game but still making the playoffs at 9-7.
I prefer to think we'll go 2-0 in the next two weeks. No need to give up one of them ahead of time. Now is the time for the reality of Baltimore's existence to come to fruition: The road to the playoffs runs right over the Steelers.

They got the monkey off of their back by stopping the losing streak. Now it's time for the Ravens to get the Steelers monkey off of their back. Paybacks for last season aren't over until we end their season this time around.

Wallace wallace wallace oh who will cover young Wallace?
It wasn't Josh Bell who let him catch a TD pass with no time left yesterday.

As good as the throw was, Bell's coverage was terrible. He had a hand on Wallace but seemed scared to turn around and see if the ball coming his way. It's amazing how bad some corners are in the NFL. Rather than play the game properly, they play not to give up the big play.

we'd have the better division record. A good amount of things have to happen for us to get in at 9-7. A LOT of things have to happen for the steelers to get in, not the least of which is we would have to lose to oakland as well.
true, a lot of things would have to happen, but seeing as how the NFL loves to 'give' the steelers championships, I'm not taking these last two games lightly or for granted AT ALL! I hope the Steelers have an ego next week, and I hope we pound it down their throats! and then DO NOT count on walking all over the raiders, they are playing for pride and I don't need to tell anyone they have been pulling some major upsets! GO PURPLE!

This probably won't happen but we need to limit the number of times we let Ben scramble around. His ad-lib plays are killer.
The key with Ben is to sack his right arm. It sound stupid but that's the only you stop him from completing passes with guys hanging all over him.

I suggest Duct Tape. It works wonders and should improve our tackling ability on Big Ben.

Use it sort of like how Emilio used Duct Tape in the "Breakfast Club".

This game gives me the worst feeling I've had this whole season. With Walker starting expect us to break another record for penalties....

Duct Tape could work. Or maybe they could call up Lester Hayes and have him send them some Stickum.

The upsetting loss of Denver to Oakland puts us in even a better position... I think the Eagles will have the Broncos number in Philly.. Going to be one hell of a weekend.

According to weather.com, it will be around freezing for the game with some snow flurries but obviously it is very early in the week.

Well, everything went great today. Jets lost, Miami lost, Denver lost, But pitt somehow had those 3 seconds left on the clock for a toe touch Winning TD. I am confident going into this game that we can Expose their secondary and run on them, but our Defense NEEDS to get pressure or it could get ugly like vs Green Bay. We should treat this game just like Green Bay, a Stress on the Pressure. Webb being out is a massive blow. Thoughts?
There's nothing left to expose. Our secondary is probably the worst in the league. However, we are still stopping the run. Aren't you guys having secondary issues too? Plus you guys can stop the run as well if I'm not mistaken so we may be looking at some sort of shootout.

I dont care who Pittsburgh lost to, this game is going to be hard. I mean we had to squeak by with a win with their 3rd string QB starting.....Divisional games are always closer and fought out harder than other games. As you will see tonight when DC takes on NY.

Looking back on it, I dont think it was a bad call, even if they lost. neither team could stop the others offense. SO his logic was if they recovered the game was basically over. If they did a regular kickoff, GB would have a long field to wind the clock down and kick the game-winner with no time left. By giving them a short field they kind of allowed them to score quick, knowing the GB defense couldnt stop Ben in this game. Still dont like the defensive call on GB's part. There should have been NO LINEMEN in the game at all and drop everyone into coverage, yes, all 11. There was only time for one play and if ben took off running you'd have 11 guys after him from all angles and he couldnt throw it once he went past the LOS, so it wasnt really a scrambling situation. I you've got 7 guys in the end zone and 4 covering in front there VERY LITTLE chance there's gonna be anywhere to throw to.
I can't believe you're defending that onside kick call... revisionist history says it was the right call, but you can't make that call in that situation only up 2. That's a big slap in the face to their D.

they better not change this game, i want it to be 1PM so it can be done and over with.
Totally agree... I hate waiting around for Pitt games to start. Thankfully it's too late to Flex the game, so we're safe. In fact, CBS protected this game before the season started.

They better keep this game at 1:00... I like our odds better in an afternoon game than an early evening/night game. Although, I don't think anything's getting flexed anyway.

Do you know what the deadline is for the NFL to change the game time?

The defense needed that.

Deep kick basically gives us one chance to win: Defensive stop.

An onside kick gives us 3 chances to win: 1). Recoverring it 2). Defensive stop, 3). They score quicker and leave us time on the clock. Tomlin knew he couldn't count on a defensive stop. I loved the call from the moment it developed.

Also, converting a surprise onside under those circumstances (not down or needing two scores) has a 60% success rate. Still, I'm sure Tomlin opted for the consequences of not recovering it at all.

The time has already passed, and it's been ruled out for a couple weeks now. I guess CBS may be able to push it back to 4:15 but I am not entirely sure about that.

So, if Rodgers and the Packers had taken all the time off and kicked the game-winning FG you would still be happy with the call? I think not. Hindsight is always 20/20.. Tomlin got very lucky.

I would definitely agreed with the call. We've lost too much by asking our defense to defend a lead and they have failed every time.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. If we had lost, at least they left no tricks in the bag. Besides, it worked.

For some reason, this game doesn't scare me. Ben Ben and his receivers haven't been a good match-up for the Ravens in over three seasons and yet going back to last year, the Ravens have hung with them every time.
The Ravens have lost most of those games. I don't know about you but, "almost," "hanging in there," "being competitive," and all of the other moral victories don't do it for me.
Ben can be pressured(at times from his own doing), their secondary is even more leaky than the Ravens' secondary and their running game isn't very impressive.

The Ravens definitely can and should win this game in my opinion.
Ben can be pressured, but can the Ravens create pressure?

Without Reed, Washington, Webb, and even Reed's back-up, I don't know if we can really say their secondary is worse than ours. We have Chris Carr; 'nough said.

The Ravens need to win this game. Whether or not they can remains to be seen.

I'd rather face them after a win then after 6 straight losses, its like the rule of averages.

The Steelers have lost 4th quarter leads in 7 straight games.
We lost 5 straight not 6. And yes, we've given up 4th quarter leads on defense. But that is through the air. We can still put up points and stop the run.

I'm sure Cam Cameron is salivating at the prospects for record yardage through the air, but Ben put up over 500 yards passing last week himself against the #3 pass defense (maybe #2. It was 2-run/3-pass or visa-versa).

We're a desperate team. Not to mention that Tomlin gave the defense the ULTIMATE smack in the face.

The sad part is they would have had it if Taylor could've been a lttle more patient. He wouldve had it even if he let it go 2 more yards, and it only had to go half a yard. I think it was a brilliant call! the bad calls were on gb's part. They scored too quick and had the WRONG defense called for the final play.
